New Delhi. A big change has been seen in India's SUV market. Neither Maruti, nor Hyundai or Tata, yet one SUV has overtaken all of them and established its dominance in the market. This car has crossed the sales mark of 17 lakh units so far and has become the best selling SUV of the country. The story of its popularity is not limited to just features or design, but its strength, performance and customer trust have made it number one. This car is none other than Mahindra's Bolero.

Mahindra Bolero, which has ruled the Indian SUV market for 25 years, is still maintaining its hold. Launched in August 2000, this SUV has created history due to its strength, reliable image and popularity in rural areas. Often people think of Maruti, Hyundai or Tata vehicles as the top ones, but actually India's best selling SUV is Mahindra Bolero. Its 17 lakh units have been sold so far, which makes it the number 1 selling SUV in the country.

Many updates of Mahindra Bolero
Bolero, popularly known as 'Sarpanch ki Gaadi' in rural areas of India, has been a reliable SUV. It has been updated several times in the last 25 years. The first major update came in 2007, in 2011 it got the m2DiCR engine, in 2016 it got a facelift with the mHawk engine. In 2020, a new model of Bolero was launched and in 2021, premium 'Bolero Neo' also came in the market. Now Mahindra has introduced 2025 model Bolero and Bolero Neo. Prices for the new Bolero start at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Bolero Neo starts at Rs 8.49 lakh.

The new Bolero includes a new front grille, redesigned bumpers and stealth black color option. The top variant gets fog lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls and USB Type-C charging ports. The seats have been reshaped for better support, and higher trims get leatherette upholstery. The new Rideflow suspension system now provides greater comfort and stability. The engine is the same 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel, producing 75 bhp power and 210 Nm torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Bolero Neo also gets a new front grille, 16-inch dark gray alloy wheels and dual-tone paint like Jeans Blue and Concrete Grey. The cabin gets Lunar Gray and Mocha Brown themes, seats with better cushioning and the top variant gets a 9-inch touchscreen, rear camera and Type-C charging ports. Neo has a 1.5-litre mHawk100 diesel engine, which produces 100 bhp and 260 Nm torque.

New Delhi. The new 2025 Mahindra Bolero facelift has finally been launched in India, which has an initial price of Rs 7.99 lakh. The model lineup now includes a new top-end B8 trim, and it is available in four trims-B4, B6, B6 (O) and B. This updated SUV has some fine design changes, feature upgrades and new stealth black color scheme.

New black color and design updates

In the exterior, the new Mahindra Bolero has a slightly modified grille with vertical chrome slats, re-designed bumper with integrated fog lamps (only in top two trims) and newly designed 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The new stealth black paint scheme enhances its rugged appeal, which comes with the existing color options – Diamond White, DeSat Silver and Lakeside Brown.

New Bolero: Changes in interior
2025 Mahindra Bolero has touchscreen infotainment system, new leather seat upholstery, steering-mounted controls, bottle holders and type-C charging ports on door pads. Other major features include Power Windows, Remote, Foldable 3rd Row Seat, Engine Start-Stop (Micro-Hybrid), Seat Belt Reminder (Front Facing Seats), Reverse Parking Sensors, Driver and Co-Driver Airbags, ABS, 12V charging points, USB C-Type C-C-Typ-C-Type C-C-Typing Port and more.

The same engine, under the new suspension hood, the new Mahindra Bolero has the same 1.5L MHAWK75 diesel engine that generates maximum power of 75bhp and torque of 210Nm. The 5-speed manual gearbox and RWD (rear-wheel drive) system is also taken from the earlier facelift. The facelift has introduced 'rideflow' suspension technology, which claims to be “better stability, control and engineer shock absorption” for any area.

New Delhi. Mahindra's best -selling SUV – Bolero – is ready to come up with a new generation in 2026. The testing of the new Mahindra Bolero is going on, and its design has been found in the recently revealed spy images. The seen prototype was in heavy calamophalase, but it included boxer and more straight stance, newly designed grills which include vertical slots, new circular LED headlamps which include DRILs integrated and chlamyshell bonnet.

Square wheel arc, body cladding, new dual-tone alloy wheels and small overhangs are seen in the side profile. A big upgrade will be made in its underpinning, 2026 Mahindra Bolero Mahindra's new 'Freedom NU' can start Flexible platform, which will be launched on 15 August 2025.

Glimpse of interior

The cabin appears partially covered; However, all-black themes, new three-spoke steering wheels and large touchscreen infotainment systems are visible. The dashboard design has also been redigned. The previous spy images show that the new Mahindra Bolero will have a semi-digital instrument cluster which will have a large color TFT MID and dual zone climate control. Fully digital driver display can be available only on high trims.

Will get the latest features
According to media reports, 2026 Mahindra Bolero may also have Level-2 Adas suit, which will include features such as forward collision warning, auto emergency braking system, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless phone charger, powered driver seat, push button start, auto dimming IRVM, keyless go, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting are also expected.

Diesel engine
As far as the engine is concerned, the existing 1.5L MHAWK diesel engine can be used in the new Mahindra Bolero. The SUV will continue to come with a 5-speed manual gearbox and RWD (rear-wheel drive) system.
