35 KM Mileage, Hybrid Engine and ADAS! This SUV will make a big entry in the market

Maruti Suzuki is one of the most popular car companies in India, offering affordable, reliable and fuel efficient vehicles in every segment. In view of the increasing demand for SUVs and crossovers in the Indian market, the company is going to bring many important updates in 2026. These include Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid, New Maruti Brezza.

The Front Hybrid is expected to be launched in late 2026 or early 2027, bringing the company's in-house series Strong Hybrid technology. It will use the 1.2 liter engine as a generator and be driven by an electric motor, which is likely to provide excellent mileage of up to 30-35 kmpl. At the same time, the new Brezza facelift can be launched around May 2026. Let us take a look at the information revealed so far about these two cars.

New Maruti Brezza

Maruti Brezza has been the king of the sub-compact SUV segment. Its facelift is expected to be launched around May 2026, with ex-showroom prices starting around ₹ 8.50 lakh. The car spotted during testing has new LED headlamps and taillamps, redesigned grille, new bumpers and updated alloy wheels.

The interior may feature a larger 10.1-inch infotainment screen, ventilated front seats, better quality materials and possibly a panoramic sunroof. The biggest update can come in the engine. Apart from the existing 1.5L petrol, there is a possibility of getting a 1.0L turbo petrol engine (with Frontx, about 100 PS power) and 6-speed manual/automatic gearbox. The CNG variant will come with underbody CNG tank, which will increase the space. Safety features like Level-2 ADAS are also expected. This update will make Brezza stronger than competitors like Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.

Maruti Frontx Facelift

The popularity of Front Crossover is continuously increasing. Its facelift and stronger hybrid version is going to be launched by the end of 2026. Hybrid badging has been seen in test mules. The new series hybrid system can be based on 1.2 liter petrol engine, which will give mileage of 30-35 kmpl or more. In some reports, there is a claim of up to 37 kmpl.

Features may include a larger touchscreen, minor design changes (new lights, grille), ADAS (level-2), ventilated seats and better interior updates. Flex-fuel variants (up to E85) may also arrive in 2026. Prices may increase slightly from the current ₹ 7-12 lakh range to ₹ 8-15 lakh (on-road). This update of the Franxx will attract the youth and mileage-conscious buyers.

Maruti is strengthening CNG, hybrid and turbo engine options through these updates. The focus in both cars is on safety, comfort and efficiency. The Brezza family will prove to be a better option for SUV buyers and the Frontex will be a better option for those looking for a stylish crossover. Launch dates and final specs will depend on the company's official announcement. If you are thinking of buying an SUV or crossover, then waiting for them can prove beneficial.

Maruti Brezza Facelift has been spotted during testing.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift by the first half of 2026 (likely May 2026) to further strengthen its hold in the Indian automobile market. After the immense success of the current model, this updated version will directly compete with the likes of Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.

This facelift will not only come with new design and premium features, but mechanical changes are also being made to improve its performance. The main attraction of the new Brezza could be its advanced safety package and new turbo engine option. Let us know with what changes it can be introduced in the new update?

Design and interior

In the design of Brezza facelift, the company is focusing on muscular and premium look. Spy shots reveal that it will get a new front grille, redesigned LED headlamps and updated bumpers with tail-lamps. The new alloy wheel design and connected LED strip will make its rear profile more modern. Once inside the cabin, you will experience a new dashboard layout and premium soft-touch materials. It will be given a new dual-tone color theme and better seat upholstery, which will make the cabin more ventilated and luxurious than before.

Features and safety

Talking about the features, the biggest update in it will be a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, features like ventilated front seats, digital driver display, electric sunroof, 360-degree camera and wireless charging will keep it at the top of the segment. Maruti now does not want to leave any stone unturned in the matter of safety. It is expected that the new Brezza will come with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill-Hold Assist. The most important update may be ADAS Level 2. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this yet.

Engine and Mileage

The existing 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine (103hp/137Nm) will continue, but an exciting change could see the return of the 1.0-litre BoosterJet turbo petrol engine, which will produce 100bhp. Along with the 5-speed manual, a new 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox can be optioned in it. For CNG lovers, underbody CNG tank technology can be given in it, which will free up a lot of space in the boot space. Talking about mileage, the economy can be around 18-20 km/litre in petrol variant and around 25-27 km/kg in CNG. Its estimated ex-showroom price can be between ₹ 8.50 lakh to ₹ 13.50 lakh.
