This figure shows an impressive increase of 40 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 1,35,962 units sold by them in May 2025.

If we look at the sales report, Maruti Suzuki Dzire was the best selling car of the company. Apart from this, there has also been a huge increase in the sales of Maruti Fronx and Maruti Ertiga. At the same time, the demand for cars like Maruti Vitara Brezza and Jimny has decreased. Let's take a look at the company's model-wise sales report.

Maruti Dzire
Maruti Dezire is at number one in terms of sales. A total of 24,546 units were sold last month. This figure shows an annual increase of 36 percent compared to the total 18,084 units sold in May 2025. Its ex-showroom price starts from ₹ 6.26 lakh.

Maruti Dezire has a modern design, LED headlamps, sporty front grille and premium look. Its interior is quite comfortable, which includes features like 9 inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, sunroof, auto AC and wireless charging.

In terms of safety, it has 6 airbags, ESP, ABS, hill hold and 5-star global NCAP rating. The 1.2 liter 3-cylinder petrol engine produces 80 bhp, with manual, AMT and CNG options available. According to ARAI its mileage ranges from 24.7 to 25.71 kmpl. Overall, it is a safe, convenient and mileage efficient family sedan.

Maruti Fronx
Maruti Franks is at second place in the list. In May 2026, it got a total of 20,686 new customers. This figure shows an impressive growth of 52 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 13,584 units sold in May 2025.

Maruti Ertiga
Ertiga is at third place in terms of sales. Last month it got 20,350 new customers. This figure represents an annual increase of 26 percent compared to the total 16,140 units sold in May 2025.

Maruti Baleno
Balaena is at number four in the list. Its 18,396 units have been sold in May 2026. This figure shows an impressive growth of 58 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 11,618 units sold in May 2025.

Maruti Wagon R
On the basis of tremendous increase in sales, Wagon R has registered its name in the list of top-5 cars of the company. Last month it got 18,076 new customers. This figure represents an annual increase of 30 percent compared to the total 13,949 units sold in May 2025.

Apart from the top-5 cars of the company mentioned above, last month 17,519 units of Maruti Swift, 13,425 units of Maruti Vitara Brezza, 13,240 units of Maruti Eeco, 10,853 units of Maruti Victoris, 9,887 units of Maruti Alto, 9,366 units of Maruti Grand Vitara, 6,388 units of Maruti S-Presso, 6,388 units of Maruti XL6 3,770 units, 3,018 units of Maruti Celerio, 516 units of Maruti Jimny and 301 units of Maruti Invicto have been sold.

Maruti FrontX Hybrid

The ex-showroom price of Maruti Franks ranges from ₹ 6.85 lakh to ₹ 11.98 lakh. Tata Nexon: Tata Motors' popular sub-compact SUV Nexon is firmly at the third position with sales of 19,100 units. About 13,082 units of Nexon were sold in the month of May last year. This time Nexon has achieved a strong growth of 46% on annual basis. Due to its excellent safety rating and modern cabin, it continues to be a craze among the customers.

Mahindra Scorpio: Scorpio continued its strong performance in May 2026 and recorded sales of 15,774 units. Last year in May 2025, 14,340 units were sold, due to which an annual growth of 10% has been registered in its sales this year. This time a decline of 14% has been recorded in the sales of Brezza on an annual basis (-14% YoY). Its sales have been slightly affected due to tough competition from new competitors.

Hyundai Venue

Hyundai Venue: Hyundai's sub-compact SUV Venue has performed amazingly in May 2026, achieving sales of 11,714 units. Last year in May 2025, only 7,509 units of Venue could be sold. Mahindra Thar: Mahindra Thar's off-road popularity continues to remain intact in the Indian market. In May 2026, Thar achieved ninth position with sales of 10,787 units. Last year in May 2025, 10,372 units were sold. Thus, Thar has registered a positive growth of 4% on annual basis. Its 3-door and new 5-door lifestyle avatars continue to receive good response from customers.

Kia Seltos

Kia Seltos: Kia Seltos secured the last position in the top-10 list by selling 10,597 units in May 2026. Last year in May 2025, only 6,090 units of Seltos were sold. This year, Seltos has registered the highest YoY growth of 74% on annual basis. This time the customers have embraced the new updated version and premium features of the car.

Mahindra Scorpio

Mahindra Scorpio has sold 14,719 units in April 2026 and is at fifth position. There was a 5% decline compared to April last year. The Scorpio's off-road capability still attracts loyal customers.

Apart from the top-5 SUVs of April 2026 mentioned above, last month 14,124 units of Maruti Brezza, 13,701 units of Maruti Victoris, 12,420 units of Hyundai Venue, 10,566 units of Kia Seltos and 10,537 units of Kia Sonet were sold.

Brezza is at number three in terms of sales. In March 2026, it got a total of 16,130 new customers. This figure shows a slight decline of 2.51 percent on an annual basis as compared to 16,546 units sold in March 2025.

Maruti Fronx

In terms of sales, Franks is at number four. Last month it got a total of 15,540 new customers. This figure shows an impressive increase of 13.69 percent on an annual basis as compared to 13,669 units sold in March 2025.

Kia Sonet

On the basis of explosive growth, Sonet has included itself in the top-5 list. Last month 12,012 people bought it. This figure shows an annual increase of 55.90 percent compared to the total 7705 units sold in March 2025.

Apart from the top-5 SUVs of the segment mentioned above, last month there were 11,147 units of Hyundai Venue, 9199 units of Mahindra 59 units have been sold.

Maruti Fronx

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki ended 2025 on a high note, with the company registering its highest ever sales of 1,82,165 units in the domestic market. The carmaker exported a total of 25,739 units, while other OEMs sold 9,950 units. Overall sales of the company reached 2,27,854 units. Apart from this, the company sold the highest ever sales of 23,51,139 units and exported a record 3,95,648 units in the calendar year 2025.

Best selling Maruti cars
Maruti Baleno became India's best selling car, with 22,108 units sold. This was followed by Franks, which sold a total of 20,700 units in December 2025. In the entry-level segment, Alto K10 and S-Presso registered a strong sales growth of 92 percent year-on-year. These two models together contributed 6.2 percent to the company's total monthly sales.

Maruti SUV Sales Interestingly, Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 73,818 SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicles) in December 2025, which is an increase of 33 percent year-on-year. The Indo-Japanese automaker has delivered more than 35,000 Victories by the end of the year and currently has around 70,000 orders pending. These figures show that this SUV is getting tremendous response from customers. The SUV is sold exclusively through Arena dealerships and is available in six variants, priced between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

After the safety leader Dezire, Maruti Victoris is the second car from the company to get 5-star safety rating in both India and Global NCAP. It has 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts and tire pressure monitoring system as standard safety kit. Victoris is the first car from Maruti Suzuki which has Level-2 ADAS feature.
