New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki is known for selling budget cars in India. In this episode, the company has updated its budget a few days ago to the Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatchback. In this update, the company has standard setup by replacing the 2 airbag setup. This means that in every variant of this car, now you will get 6 airbags.

The entry-level variant has become expensive by Rs 27,500, while the prices of VXI MT and CNG MT variants have increased by Rs 16,000. The price of the VXI AMT variant is now around Rs 21,000, while the price of Top-end ZXI and ZXI+ MT variants has seen an increase of Rs 27,500. The price of Range-Topping ZXI+ AMT variant is now Rs 32,500 more than before.

Price after price hike
After this latest price hike, the price of 2025 Maruti Celerio has now increased from Rs 5.64 lakh to Rs 7.37 lakh. Its two AMT variants – VXI and ZXI – are available for Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 7.37 lakh respectively. All these prices are ex-showroom.

Engine and power
No other changes have been made in Silaio. The hatchback continues to use 1.0L, 3-cylinder Natural Aspirated K10C petrol engine as before, which produces a maximum power of 67bhp and torque of 89Nm. The 5-speed manual gearbox comes as the standard, while a 5-speed AMT transmission is available from VXI trim.

The company has launched the updated model with more safety features. Silaio now comes with 6 airbags. The previous model had two airbag setups, which have been upgraded to 6 airbags for better security. However, this upgrade has made the new model a little expensive than before.

The base model is now expensive by Rs 27,500, while the price of VXI MT and CNG MT variants has been seen by Rs 16,000. The VXI AMT variant costs around Rs 21,000, and Top-And ZXI and ZXI+ MT Trims have become expensive by Rs 27,500. The price of Range-Topping ZXI+ AMT variant saw the highest increase of Rs 32,500. With the latest price hike, the ex-showroom price of 2025 Maruti Celerio is now between Rs 5.64 lakh to Rs 7.37 lakh.

No change in engine and power
Apart from the airbag upgrade, no other changes have been made in the cellareo. It is powered by 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10C petrol engine, producing 67bhp and 89Nm torque. 5-speed manual gearbox standard, while 5-speed AMT is available from VXI trim. It continues to introduce the CNG variant with a 5-speed manual, which generates 57 PS and 82 Nm torque. Fuel efficiency is going to be available as much as before.

Mileage up to 34 km
LXI, VXI and ZXI MT variants give a mileage of 25.24 km per liter, while VXI AMT gives a mileage of 26.68 km per liter. ZXI+ MT offers 24.97 kmpl, while ZXI AMT offers 26 kmpl. The mileage of the CNG version claims to be 34.43 km/kg.
