  • Under-floor mounted CNG tank-Tata Motors and Hyundai have been using dual-cylinder CNG technology for a long time. In Victoris, the CNG tank is placed under the boot floor, which provides a lot of space in the trunk.
  • Powered tailgate with gesture control – This is also the first time for Maruti Suzuki that it has been provided with a powered tailgate. The bootlid of the Victoris can also be opened with a kick-to-open gesture or the key fob. Victoris sales increased to 13,496 units in October. 12,300 units were sold in November, which is slightly less than October, but still a strong pace, especially considering the model has only been on the market for a few weeks.

Crossed the mark of 30,000 units
If we add the figures of all three months the picture is clear. Victoris quickly achieved five-figure monthly volumes since its launch and crossed the 30,000 mark by the end of November. Comparison with Maruti's own Grand Vitara: One special thing in the October figures was that Victoris even left behind Maruti Suzuki's own Grand Vitara. In October, 10,409 units of Grand Vitara were sold, while 13,496 units of Victories were sold.

More reach than Grand Vitara
What's working for the Victoris The reach of the Victoris is greater than the Grand Vitara as it is being sold through Arena dealerships. It has been presented as a slightly more premium and technology-equipped option than the Grand Vitara, especially in the lower and mid-price range. The specialty of this vehicle lies in its modern design and advanced safety features.

Range of powertrain options
Another big feature is its range of powertrain options. Victoris is available in petrol, CNG and strong hybrid variants. This makes the model attractive to different types of customers – whether they want an economical car or a high mileage daily use car. Looking at the pace of sales, it is clear that Victoris is becoming popular among many types of customers, not just because of one variant.

This car of Maruti has replaced the 'Lanka' of Grand Vitara and Brezza! Now turn of Creta and Nexon

New Delhi. A few days ago, when Maruti launched its Maruti Victoris SUV in India, the company would not have thought that it would get such a great response. But, this car has achieved many milestones as soon as it came into the market. Maruti Suzuki India Limited launched Victoris in the Indian market in September 2025. By October 2025, this mid-size SUV is poised to become an important model for the brand. According to the sales report for October 2025, this latest model of the brand has left behind its sibling Grand Vitara, where 13,496 units of Victoris were sold, while 10,409 units of Grand Vitara were sold.

Will be sold at Arena dealerships
While the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is sold through Nexa outlets, the Victoris is available at Arena dealerships. Although the exact reasons for the better performance of the Victoris are yet to be ascertained, the brand's strategy of making it available at arena dealerships seems to be succeeding, making the SUV affordable for a wider range of buyers.

starting price
Additionally, the starting price of Maruti Suzuki Victoris is Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Grand Vitara is priced at Rs 10.77 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a better option, especially when the feature package is taken into account. However, both SUVs have the same powertrain, which includes petrol, CNG and strong hybrid powertrain options.

New Maruti Victoris Launched - Specs, Features, & More!

Tough competition in the segment
Despite the current success of Victoris, competition in this segment remains stiff. Hyundai Creta continues to maintain its dominance in this segment. The South Korean SUV sold 18,381 units in October 2025, while other rivals like the Kia Seltos and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider were left far behind, with 7,130 units and 11,55 units sold respectively.

Waiting for Grand Vitara Electric
Maruti has not yet entered the electric car segment. The company's first electric car will be Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The ICE model of this car is already very popular in the Indian market. This is why the company wants to capitalize on its popularity. Updates about this car keep coming out continuously. After launch, it will compete with Nexon and Windsor EV. Both these SUVs remain India's best selling electric cars. Tata had started making inroads in this segment long ago. For this reason, the company has the largest product portfolio in terms of EV. After the arrival of Maruti, competition in this segment is going to intensify further.

What number says

On the adult protection front, Maruti Suzuki Victoris scored 31.66 out of 32, which is correct as correct. The SUV managed 15.66 out of 16 in the frontal offset test and 16 out of 16 in the side impact test. For hair living protection, Victoris recorded 43 out of 49 points. The dynamic test in the breakdown here consists of a correct score of 24, 12 out of 12 for child restaurant installation, and 7 out of 13 in vehicle evaluation.

Security facilities that helped achieve it

Strong crash scores are supported by a comprehensive safety kit. Six airbags come as standard in variants, and SUVs also provide ABS with EBD, isoffix child seat mount and electronic stability control. While Victoris moves beyond many of his rivals, it is included in level -2 ADAS features.

These automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with curve speed adjustment, lane-keip assist, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic alerts. In today's security conversation, avoiding an accident or reducing its severity is often as important as surviving, and Victoris is designed keeping in mind that philosophy.

why it matters

For Indian buyers, security has become rapidly non-decorative. Those days when design, fuel economy and value dominated conversations are shifting, and Victoris with its 5-starah rating reflects that reality. For Maruti Suzuki, it is also an iconic jump. After the New-Jeen Dzire, it is only the second car in its stable to achieve a top-star rating, which wants to put himself in position in terms of security of India's largest car manufacturer.

The rating also enhances stakes in compact and mid-love space, where rivals such as Hyundai Buyer, Kia Celtos and Tata Curve are already making their case with strong build and feature lists. Victoris now enters the battlefield with a new security story of her own, and it will force buyers to take notice.
