MG Motor India has made a positive start to the new financial year with sales of 6,018 units in April 2026. Windsor may have been the best selling car, but its sales have declined. On the other hand, Hector and Comet EV registered excellent growth. Especially a huge jump of 215% was seen in the sales of Comet EV. MG Windsor was the best selling car of the company.

MG Motor is doing business in collaboration with JSW in the Indian car market. The company started FY27 on a positive note. A total of 6,018 units were sold last month. This figure represents an annual increase of 3 percent compared to the total 5,829 units sold in April 2025.

If we look at the sales report, despite the decline in sales, MG Windsor is at number one. At the same time, sales of MG Hector and Comet have increased. Apart from this, sales of ZS EV and Astor have decreased. Let's take a look at the company's model-wise sales report.

MG Windsor

MG Windsor is at number one in terms of sales. A total of 3,296 units were sold last month. This figure shows a decline of 10 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 3,660 units sold in April 2025.

MG Hector

Demand for Hector has increased. A total of 1,297 people bought this premium SUV last month. This figure shows an impressive increase of 33 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 977 units sold in April 2025.

MG ZS EV

ZS EV is at number three in the sales report. A total of 717 units have been sold in April 2026. This figure shows a 17 percent decline on an annual basis compared to the total 864 units sold in April 2025.

MG Comet

Comet EV is at number four in terms of sales. A total of 601 people bought this small EV in April 2026. This figure shows a spectacular increase of 215 percent on an annual basis as compared to 191 units in April 2025.

MG Astor

At fifth and last place is MG Astor. Its 107 units were sold last month. This figure shows a decline of 20 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 133 units sold in April 2025. Furthermore, Gloster did not find any customers in April 2026.

MG Windsor EV

Vidsar EV is at number one in terms of sales. A total of 4530 units were sold last month. This figure shows an annual increase of 24.42 percent compared to the total 3641 units sold in March 2025.

Ex-showroom price of Windsor EV starts from ₹ 14.10 lakh and goes up to ₹ 18.60 lakh. At the same time, it can be purchased with BaaS scheme for only ₹ 9.99 lakh. Battery options include 38 kWh (332 km range) and 2.9 kWh (449 km range). Its motor produces 134 bhp (136 PS) power and 200 Nm torque.

Its modern crossover MPV style, flush door handle, LED lights and aero glide look make it special. Spacious cabin, 135 degree reclining aero- lounge rear seats, panoramic glass roof, 15.6 inch touchscreen, 9-speaker Infinity Sound, ventilated seats and ambient lighting are also part of the feature list. Safety includes 6 airbags, ESC, 360° camera and level-2 ADAS.

MG Hector

MG Hector is at second place in terms of sales. It has got a total of 850 new customers in March 2026. This figure shows an annual increase of 55.39 percent compared to the total 547 units sold in March 2025.

MG Comet EV

MG Comet is at number three in the list. A total of 682 units were sold last month. This figure represents an annual increase of 294 percent compared to the total 173 units of Comet EV sold in March 2025.

MG ZS EV

In terms of sales, ZS EV is at number four. Last month, this electric SUV got a total of 411 new customers. This figure shows an annual decline of 51.99 percent compared to the total 856 units sold in March 2025.

MG Astor

In terms of sales, MG ester is at the last place. Last month it got a total of 55 new customers. This figure shows a decline of 70 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 184 units of Astor sold in March 2025. At the same time, MG Gloster has not got a single customer last month.
