7-seater SUV coming with 4X4 engine, sunroof and powerful looks

MG Majestor will be launched in the Indian market soon. This is India's first D+ segment full-size SUV, which is to be launched by JSW MG Motor India on 20 April 2026. It is positioned above MG Gloster and will compete with vehicles like Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian.

Its length is 5046 mm, width 2016 mm and height 1870 mm, which provides tremendous road presence. Pre-booking has started for ₹41,000 and the estimated price could be around ₹40-45 lakh (ex-showroom). Delivery will start from May 2026. This 7-seater SUV is built on ladder-frame, with both 4×2 and 4×4 options available. Off-road capability is also strong, including triple differential lock and multi-terrain modes. design details

The design of MG Majestor is bold and muscular, giving it a commanding presence on the road. More than 5 meters long, this SUV is the longest, widest and tallest vehicle in the segment. The front gets mosaic matrix grille, Dragon Eye LED DRLs, tri-beam LED headlamps and gunmetal gray front guard plate.

The side profile features brushed steel side steppers, 19-inch dual shade multi-spoke alloy wheels, roof rails and piano black DLO garnish. The rear has connected tail lamps, dual exhaust tips and powered tailgate. Overall, it is a perfect mix of premium and rugged look, which is suitable for both city and off-road.

Cabin and Comfort

The interior is designed in M-Lounge style, with smoky ebony theme, premium leather upholstery and soft-touch materials. 64-colour ambient lighting, illuminated scuff plates, carbon fiber inserts and knitted fabric roof liner add to the luxury feel. The front seats are 12-way power adjustable, with ventilation, massage and memory function (in Savvy variants).

The second row has bench or captain seats (60:40 split) and the third row is 60:40 split foldable. Panoramic sunroof (Galaxy View Roof in some variants), 3-zone auto AC, PM 2.5 filter and roof-mounted vents add to the comfort. There is plenty of space, especially in the second and third rows, while boot space starts at 343 liters and expands when folded.

Features and safety

Majestor is feature-packed. It has dual 12.3-inch screens (digital instrument cluster + touchscreen), which support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Features like JBL Studio 12-speaker audio system (in Savvy), dual wireless charger, paddle shifters, powered tailgate with kick gesture, rain-sensing wipers and 220V power outlet. i-Smart connected tech, multi-mode drive selection and advanced comfort features like front armrest storage give it the status of a luxury SUV.

MG has left no stone unturned in safety. Standard features include 6 airbags, ESP, TCS, hill hold/descent control, 360 degree HD camera, front and rear parking sensors. Level-2 ADAS is available in higher variants, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking etc. Other features include TPMS, Electronic Vehicle Dynamics Control and a strong body structure, which provides excellent safety for the family.

Engine and Performance

Majestor comes only with diesel engine. Its 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine generates 215.5 PS power and 478.5 Nm torque. It is connected to 8-speed automatic transmission. Both 4×2 and 4×4 options are available, with the 4×4 getting an M-Hub system, triple differential locks (front, rear and centre) and 10 off-road modes. Water wading capacity is up to 810 mm, making it the best off-roader.
