Mini has officially confirmed that their new premium car Countryman C will be launched in India on June 17, 2026. This model will be locally assembled at BMW's Chennai plant, due to which its price is expected to be more competitive. The Countryman C will be positioned below the JCW All4 variant, which comes as a CBU import.
This launch is important for Mini as the Countryman is based on the X1 platform and will compete with vehicles like BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA in the Indian market. The Countryman C will be a blend of Mini's classic styling, increased space and modern features. Pre-bookings have already started. With local production, the price is likely to be around ₹ 50-58 lakh (ex-showroom), which will make it more accessible.

The design of Countryman C will be very similar to Countryman Electric, but it will have slightly revised grille and bumpers. It will be available in five attractive colors. This includes Chilli Red, British Racing Green, Nanook White, Slate Blue and Smokey Green. Body-coloured door handles, black ORVM housing, black door pillars and champagne colored exterior trim with roof give it a premium look. This includes LED headlamps, Mini's signature grille, matrix LED taillamps and two-tone alloy wheels. The SUV has good ground clearance, which will be suitable for Indian roads.
Cabin and Comfort
The interior follows the style of the new generation Mini. The dual-tone theme, champagne color trim and the brand's signature circular OLED touchscreen (approximately 9.4 inches) make the cabin modern. It is comfortable for 5 people with high-quality materials, two-spoke steering wheel, panoramic sunroof and good space. The premium audio system, head-up display and good boot space make it strong as a family SUV.
Features and safety
Countryman C will get many advanced features of Mini like wireless charging, connected car tech, multiple driving modes, 360-degree camera, automatic parking assist and powerful infotainment system. It will be front-wheel drive with 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It will be more comfortable and efficient as compared to JCW All4. The speed of 0-100 kmph is expected to be completed in around 8-9 seconds. Mileage is likely to be good, which will be suitable for both city and highway use.
