Mahindra has filed the design patent of its upcoming off-roader electric SUV Mahindra Vision T in India. This step has been taken before the official unveil, which shows that the company is preparing to launch the production model soon. Vision T is basically a developed form of Thar E Concept, which will become the new member of the Thar family.

This SUV will be based on Mahindra's new NU_IQ monocoque platform, which supports petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric powertrains. Patent images show that the production version will be almost similar to the concept. The boxy silhouette, upright proportions and off-road look make it a modern and premium version of Thar. The design of Vision T is inspired by Thar but more modern. It has a boxy shape, short overhangs, squared wheel arches and exposed bonnet latches. This SUV, which was seen under camouflage during testing, can be launched in the Indian market in late 2026 or early/mid 2027.
