Skoda Kylaq was the best selling car of the company.

Skoda seems to be continuously struggling in the Indian market. However, there are some models of the company, which are currently maintaining it in the Indian market. The same was seen in last month's sale also. Skoda has acquired a total of 5,760 new customers in May 2026. This figure shows a decline of 15 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 6,740 units sold in May 2025.

If we look at the sales report, Skoda Kylaq was the best selling car of the company. Apart from this, there has been a huge 100 percent increase in the sales of Skoda Kushaq. At the same time, the demand for Slavia and Kodiaq has decreased. Let us take a look at the company's model wise sales report.

Skoda Kylaq

As told to you, Kylac is at number one in terms of sales. A total of 3,443 units were sold last month. This figure represents a healthy decline of 30 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 4,949 units sold in May 2025.

Its ex-showroom price starts from ₹ 7.59 lakh and goes up to ₹ 12.99 lakh. It is equipped with features like attractive modern design, premium interior, 10-inch touchscreen, sunroof and ventilated seats. There are 6 airbags available with 5-star safety rating. The 1.0 liter TSI petrol engine produces 114 bhp, which gives a mileage of 19.68 kmpl in manual and 19.05 kmpl in automatic.

Skoda Kushaq

Skoda Kushaq is at second place in terms of sales. Last month it got a total of 1,310 new customers. This figure shows an impressive increase of 103 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 644 units sold in May 2025.

Skoda Slavia

Skoda Slavia is at number thirty in the sale. A total of 861 units have been sold in May 2026. This figure shows an annual decline of 8 percent as compared to the total 937 units sold in May 2025.

Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda Kodiaq is at the fourth and last place in the list. Last month only 146 people bought this SUV. This figure shows a decline of 30 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 208 units sold in May 2025. Apart from this, Skoda Superb and Skoda Octavia did not find even a single customer.

Booking of Skoda Kodiaq RS will start from June 22!

Skoda India is preparing to launch its performance flagship SUV Kodiaq RS in the Indian market. Its booking will start from 22 June 2026. This is a sportier version of the second generation Kodiaq, which will come with a more powerful engine, RS-style design and AWD system than the regular Kodiaq. This will be the first RS badged SUV in India, which offers a perfect balance of family use and sporty driving.

Imported in limited numbers through the CBU route, this SUV will enter the luxury segment. With a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 265 PS power and 400 Nm torque, it completes 0-100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds, while the top speed is 231 kmph. This will be an attractive option for those enthusiasts who want space, comfort and performance. The sporty appeal of the RS badge, premium interiors and advanced features make it unique in the segment.

Booking and delivery details

Booking will start from June 22, 2026 on Skoda's official website and dealerships. The price is expected to be around ₹55-60 lakh (ex-showroom). Being a CBU, units will be limited, so early booking is necessary. Deliveries are likely to begin after June-July 2026, however, depending on CBU imports and demand. Like Octavia RS, it will also be sold as a limited edition.

Design and interior

The design of Kodiaq RS is more aggressive than the regular model. Blacked-out grille, segmented DRLs, lower bumper air intakes, 20-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers and black accents give it a sporty look. At the rear, split LED taillights, deep spoiler and aero features reduce drag to 0.28. Overall, it looks like an SUV with a muscular and elongated stance.

The interior is based on an all-black theme with red stitching providing contrast. Sport seats (suede or leather), 13-inch touchscreen, 10-inch virtual cockpit, 3-zone climate control and Simply Clever features like phone storage, screen cleaner etc. There is good legroom and headroom in the second row. The 5-seater version has 910 liters of boot space, while in the 7-seater the third row folds flat. Premium materials and ambient lighting add comfort.

Features and safety

The model will have features like a large infotainment system, wireless charging, premium audio, panoramic sunroof (possible in India-spec), adjustable rear seats and seats with memory function. ADAS technology will also be available.

For safety, safety features like 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill assist, ISOFIX and Euro NCAP 5-star rating are standard. ADAS system will provide additional safety.

Engine and Mileage

Its 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine generates 265 PS power and 400 Nm torque. With 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and AWD system, it provides both performance and grip. Mileage will be less than regular Kodiaq (14.86 kmpl). In sporty driving it can remain less than single digits.
