With AWD option, triple screen setup, premium features and strong safety, it will position itself among Harrier EVs. The estimated price is ₹20-25 lakh, which will make it attractive as a family EV SUV. Skoda Kylaq Sportline

Skoda is going to launch Sportline, a sportier version of its popular sub-4 meter SUV Kylaq, in September 2026. It will be based on the standard Kylaq but will have a more dynamic look with black accents, sporty alloy wheels, unique styling elements and sporty interiors.

The 1.0 liter TSI turbo petrol engine (114 hp) will be available with manual or automatic transmission. Kylaq is already appreciated for its value for money and features, the Sportline version will make it more attractive to young customers and enthusiasts. Nissan Tekton

Nissan is going to debut the Tekton SUV on July 9, 2026, which is the company's return to the mid-size SUV segment in the Indian market. It will be based on Renault Duster only. With unique design, muscular stance, C-shaped LED lights and Himalayan inspired elements, it will become Creta-Seltos rival.

It will be offered in hybrid option with 1.0 and 1.3L turbo petrol. It will be value-packed with features like panoramic sunroof, 360° camera, ADAS. The price is expected to be between ₹11-18 lakh. It also has export potential under Made in India strategy.

Kylak Sportline may be launched by September this year. This will be a sportier variant of the existing Kylak, which will get exteriors like black elements, special alloy wheels and red highlights. Red accents will be provided with all-black theme in the cabin. The engine will be 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol, which will be available in both manual and automatic options.

Mileage is expected to be good. While the Kyalaq already starts at ₹7.59 lakh and goes up to ₹12.99 lakh, the Sportline will be slightly more expensive but more stylish. It will attract young buyers who want a sporty SUV for both daily commute and weekend trips.

Nissan Tekton

Nissan Techton is scheduled to be launched in mid-2026, preferably around June. This new generation will be based on Renault Duster and will be built on the RGMP platform. There is also a possibility of hybrid option with turbo petrol engine. The design will be bold. Commanding stance, striking rear lightbar and modern look are going to make it special.

Among the features, large touchscreen, connected technology and good safety are expected. The estimated price can start from ₹10-11 lakh and go up to ₹18 lakh. Skoda Auto launches Classic+, Signature+ and Prestige+ trims of Kylaq, 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine, manual and automatic options, Sportline variant will also come soon.

New Delhi. Skoda Auto has expanded its Kylaq subcompact SUV lineup with three new trims – Classic+, Signature+ and Prestige+, which are available in both manual and automatic transmission options. The price of 2026 Skoda Kylaq Classic+ has been kept at Rs 8.25 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 9.25 lakh for the automatic variant. The Signature+ manual trim is priced at Rs 10.77 lakh, while the Signature+ automatic variant is priced at Rs 11.77 lakh. The top-end Prestige+ is available at Rs 11.99 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 12.99 lakh for the automatic version. All these prices are ex-showroom.

New variants of 2026 Skoda Kylaq – features
The new Kayak Classic+ variant comes with features like 16-inch alloy wheels, steering-mounted controls, electric sunroof, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM and rain-sensing wipers. The Signature+ trim gets some features from the top-end Prestige trim, including paddle shifters and rear washer and wipers with the automatic variants.

Skoda Kylaq has a 1.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine with a power of 115 bhp, which has two gearbox options – 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. The manual version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds, while the automatic variant completes the same sprint in 11.69 seconds. Skoda claims that the manual and automatic variants of Kaylak give a mileage of 19.68 km/l and 19.05 km/l respectively.
