Tesla has not introduced the long range all-wheel drive version in India. The initial price of Model Y is Rs 59.89 lakh, ex-showroom, while the top trim is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh, ex-showroom. Model Y can be booked online on Tesla's official website.
How much will the onroad price be? MODEL Y rear-wheel drive trim is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh, ex-showroom, and an on-road price is Rs 60,99,690, which includes GST of Rs 2,92,818, while the fully loaded model is priced at Rs 63,82,490. According to Tesla's official website, delivery of this version will start from Q3 2025. It is available in 6 color options, with only the stealth gray standard.
19-inch alloy wheels standard
The rear-wheel drive trim consists of 19-inch alloy wheels standard and offers two cabin color options. It consists of all-black interiors standard, while the price of black and white options is Rs 95,000 more. Tesla is introducing full self-driving capability autonomous package at an additional price of Rs 6 lakh.
Long range rear-wheel drive The top version, long range rear-wheel drive, the initial price is Rs 67.89 lakh ex-showroom, and the on-road price is Rs 71,90,490, including a GST of Rs 3,44,246. 500 km wltp driving range According to Tesla, the entry-level model Y rear-driving version offers 500 km of WLTP driving range. The Telangana government is holding discussions with Tesla by putting in all efforts to establish their plant in the state, Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said on Thursday.
In a message on X Sridhar Babu said since December 2023 the state government has been actively focusing on major investment opportunities by global giants, and as part of its focus, Tesla’s planned investment initiatives in India are also being tracked.
“We have been studying and tracking Tesla’s planned investment initiatives in India. We have been making all-out efforts to bring Tesla to Telangana for some time… Our team is continuing the dialogue and discussions with Tesla by putting in all efforts for Tesla to establish their plant in Telangana,” he said.
Telangana with its industry-friendly policy, is working with a progressive and futuristic vision by creating a world-class infrastructure and hassle-free permissions system to enable best-in-class companies like Tesla to do business in Telangana, he added.
The minister’s comments came after BRS leader K T Rama Rao in a post tagged a news report suggesting that Tesla Motors will send a team to India to scout for locations for a proposed electric car plant with a proposed investment of USD 2-3 billion.
“Request Telangana Government to go all out and do your best to bring them to our state. Make sure Tesla team visits Hyderabad and understands the progressive industrial policies of Telangana Government,” Rama Rao said in the post.
