2027 Toyota Innova Hycross has been spotted testing.

The facelifted version of Toyota Innova Hycross has again been spotted testing. This highly camouflaged prototype may come with a new avatar in 2027. This will be a mid-cycle refresh after the current model launched in late 2022, which is likely to bring major changes in design, interior and features. The front fascia is clearly visible in the recent spy shots, which seems to be inspired by the new generation HiLex.

It is expected to get an SUV-like stance with slim LED headlights, revised grille and upright bumper. The side profile will remain almost the same, while there may be minor changes at the rear. Inside, a larger touchscreen, better digital cluster and advanced ADAS features are coming. There will be no major changes in the powertrain, but flex fuel option is also under discussion. This update will further strengthen the leadership of Innova Hycross in the premium MPV segment. Let's take a look at the possible updates from design to interior.

design details

The biggest design change is likely to be seen at the front. Despite the camouflage, slim lighting units are clearly visible at higher positions, a new grille design (possibly a honeycomb pattern) and a redesigned bumper. The bonnet is more upright, which will strengthen the road presence. The wheel arch cladding and sharp lines on the sides will remain intact, while the alloy wheels may see minor finish changes. There is a possibility of mild updates in the taillights and bumper at the rear, but the boxy shape will remain the same.

Talking about the interior, the spy shots show a larger freestanding central touchscreen (about 12 inches), which will be bigger than the current 10.1-inch unit. The fully digital instrument cluster may also get an upgrade, possibly with a dual screen setup like the new HiLex. Expect an improved 360-degree camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, updated connected car features and better NVH levels. Higher variants may also come with second-row ventilated seats and Dolby Atmos sound system.

Features and safety

There is said to be improvement in the Toyota Safety Sense package. Enhanced ADAS functionality, such as improved lane keep assist and collision avoidance systems, may be included. There is not going to be any major change in engine and performance. The 2.0-litre petrol (about 170 bhp) and 2.0-litre strong hybrid (about 186 bhp) powertrains will continue. Flex fuel or high ethanol blend (up to E85) support may also be available.

Overall, the 2027 Innova Hycross facelift design will come with SUV-like looks, modern interior and better safety-features, while the reliability and efficiency will remain intact. Launch is expected in early 2027.
