Volkswagen Group's two major companies, Volkswagen and Skoda, work together in the Indian market. They have made excellent sales in FY 2025-26. If we look at the figures, 1,13,131 units of both the companies were sold in FY26. This figure represents an annual increase of 23 percent compared to the total 87,092 units sold in FY2025.

If we look at the yearly figures, Skoda Kylaq is at number one in terms of sales. Apart from this, the demand for Skoda Slavia and Skoda Kushaq has decreased. At the same time, the demand for Skoda Kodiaq and VW Virtus has also increased marginally on an annual basis. Let's take a look at the company's model-wise sales report.

Skoda Kylaq

In terms of sales, Kylac is at number one. A total of 49,089 units have been sold in the financial year 2026. This figure represents a massive increase of 381 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 10,205 units sold in FY25. The company sells it at a starting ex-showroom price of only ₹ 7.59 lakh.

The design of Skoda Kylak is modern and solid. It is being sold with LED headlamps, T-shaped taillights, 17 inch alloy wheels and 189 MM ground clearance. The cabin has a 10-inch touchscreen, digital cluster, ventilated seats, sunroof, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and good build quality. Features include sunroof, wireless charging, ambient lighting and cruise control.

For safety, it has been given 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, 6 airbags, 25+ features like ABS, ESC, TPMS, ISOFIX as standard. Its 1.0 liter 3-cylinder TSI turbo petrol engine produces 114 bhp power and 178 Nm torque, which is paired with 6-speed MT/AT option. Its claimed mileage goes up to 19.68 kmpl.

Virtus is second in the list. In the last financial year, this sedan got a total of 22,959 new customers. This figure represents an annual increase of 7 percent compared to the total 21,432 units sold in FY25.

Skoda Slavia

Demand for Slavia has declined marginally. A total of 14,382 new customers were found in the last financial year. This figure reflects an annual decline of 8 percent compared to the total 15,585 units sold in FY25.

Taigun is at number four in the list. A total of 13,702 new customers have been found in the financial year 2026. This figure shows a decline of 31 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 19,910 units sold in FY25.

Skoda Kushaq

Despite falling sales, Kushaq has registered its name among the top 5 cars of the company. 19,910 people bought it in FY26. This figure shows a huge decline of 41 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 17,358 units sold in FY25.

Apart from the top-5 cars of the two companies mentioned above, last financial year, 1,793 units of Kodiaq, 434 units of Tiguan, 243 units of Golf, 238 units of Tayron, 96 units of Octavia and only 4 units of Superb were sold.

Skoda and Volkswagen sell their vehicles together in the Indian car market. Talking about sales, their sales have increased in the last month. Both the companies together have sold a total of 11,010 units in March 2026. This figure shows an annual increase of 111 units compared to the total 9899 units sold in March 2025.

Despite declining sales, Skoda Kylaq remained the company's best selling car last month. At the same time, there has been a slight increase in the sales of vehicles like Kushaq, Virtus. Apart from this, there has been a decline in the sales of Slavia and Taigun. Let us take a look at the model-wise sales reports of both the companies.

Skoda Kylaq

Despite decline in sales, Kylac is still at number-1. Last month it got a total of 4670 new customers. This figure shows an annual decline of 12.33 percent compared to the total 5327 units sold in March 2025.

Its ex-showroom price starts from ₹ 7.59 lakh and goes up to ₹ 12.99 lakh. This sub-4 meter SUV has a modern-solid design, which comes with strong looks, LED lights and attractive styling. The interior is premium. It has a spacious cabin, good quality materials, 10.1 inch touchscreen, virtual cockpit and comfortable seats.

Features include ventilated seats, cruise control, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, 360 camera etc. Safety includes 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, 6 airbags, ESC, ABS and strong build quality. Its 1.0 liter TSI turbo petrol (114 PS power, 178 Nm torque) engine is available with 6-speed MT or AT transmission. Claimed mileage is around 19 KMPL.

Skoda Kushaq

Kushaq is at second place in terms of sales. A total of 2307 units were sold last month. This figure represents an annual increase of 157 percent compared to the total 897 units sold in March 2025.

Virtus is at number three in the list. Last month it got a total of 2009 new customers. This figure shows an annual increase of 11.36 percent compared to the total 1804 units sold in March 2025.

vw taigun

Taigun is at number four in terms of sales. A total of 908 units have been sold in March 2026. This figure shows a huge decline of 42.89 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 1590 units sold in March 2025.

Skoda Slavia

Despite decline in sales, Slavia has registered its name in the list of top-5 cars of the company. A total of 887 units were sold last month. This figure shows a decline of 47 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 1674 units sold in March 2025.

Apart from the top-5 cars of the two companies mentioned above, 908 units of VW Taigun, 120 units of Tayron, 64 units of Skoda Kodiaq, 42 units of VW Tiguan and only 3 units of VW Golf GTI were sold last month. Apart from this, Skoda Superb has not found any customers.
