Model yl
The new variant is named Model YL. The US EV giant announced this in a post on Chinese social media on Wednesday. Although the company has not yet shared details about the new model, the new model is about 5 meters in length and wheelbase is 3.04 meters, which is slightly longer than the standard variant.
Tesla has not announced the price of model YL, but currently the price of base model Y starts with 263,500 yuan (US $ 36,715) in China. This price of rupees is around 31 lakhs, which is half of the model launched in India. The model is Y Tesla's best -selling model at Global Level, with Shanghai Gigafactory a major production house that gives more than 40 percent of the car manufacturer's global production capacity.
Statistics of China Passenger Car Association
According to the China Passenger Car Association, model Y has done more than 480,000 annual delivery in 2024, including petrol cars. In June, the Shanghai Gigafactory reported 61,000 model Y delivery, which was a growth of 3.7 percent of YOY. Tesla's global cell fell 13.5 percent to 384,122 units in the second quarter. In China, the company delivered 128,803 cars in the second quarter, a decline of 11.7 percent year on.
