New Delhi. Tata Motors and Hyundai Motor India will launch two major SUVs in November 2025. The domestic automaker Tata is going to re-introduce the Sierra nameplate, while the new generation Hyundai Venue will go on sale on November 4. In the midsize SUV segment, the new Sierra will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, newly launched Victoris, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hayrider and others. The new Venue will compete with Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
Tata Sierra According to media reports, Tata will offer the Sierra with first ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) powertrain options. The petrol version will have a new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, with a new 170bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine also coming later. Sierra diesel may have a 170bhp, 2.0 turbo engine taken from Harrier. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be available. Adult Wheel Drive (AWD) system will be available exclusively in higher trims. Tata Sierra EV may go on sale in January 2026.
Equipped with latest features
Tata will equip the new Sierra with many advanced features like triple screen setup, 4-spoke steering wheel with Tata logo illuminated, ambient lighting, ventilated and powered front seats, 360-degree camera, level-2 ADAS and others.
New generation Hyundai Venue
The new generation Hyundai Venue will have much better styling and upmarket interiors, while the existing engine options will be retained. The latest leaked images reveal that the SUV will have a redesigned grille inspired by the Palisade, revised front and rear bumpers, redesigned headlamps, new 16-inch alloy wheels, larger body cladding around the wheel arches and new connected LED taillamps.
Level 2 ADAS Suite
The 2025 Hyundai Venue is likely to have features like automatic climate control with Level-2 ADAS suite, wireless charger, auto dimming IRVM, Type-C charging ports, ambient lighting, revised center console, new AC vents and dual screens.
no mechanical changes
Mechanically, there will be no changes in the new Venue. The existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines and gearboxes will be retained.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
Mahindra XUV 3XO also showed strong demand with sales of 9,032 units last month. While this yearly growth remained steady, the company has recently launched the new Mahindra Bolero Neo, which could boost its sales in the coming months as its sales had fallen to 2,747 units last month. This was a decline of 66% on annual and monthly basis. The new Bolero Neo has been completely upgraded in terms of its exterior and design and updated technology.
