Maruti Suzuki's first electric SUV e Vitara and the electric version of Hyundai's popular Creta, both are giving tough competition in the mid-size electric SUV segment. The starting price of an e Vitara is quite attractive, while the Creta Electric comes with premium features and brand value.

Talking about the price, the biggest plus point of Maruti e Vitara is Battery as a Service (BaaS). Its Delta 49 kWh variant starts at just ₹ 10.99 lakh, with battery rent at ₹ 3.99/km, while the price of Creta Electric starts at ₹ 18.02 lakh. Let us take a look at the design, interior, features, safety, battery, motor and rent details of these two e-SUVs.

Design and dimensions

Maruti E Vitara is boxy and muscular in style. It has a polyhedral muscular stance, Y-shaped 3-point matrix LED DRLs, sculpted 3D look, 225/55 R18 alloy wheels. Its length is 4275 mm, width is 1800 mm, height is 1640 mm and wheelbase is 2700 mm. It gives an aerodynamic and rugged road presence with a futuristic front fascia.

The Creta Electric is based on the classic Creta design, but the EV specific pixelated closed grille, bold upright styling, active air flaps and 17-inch aero alloy wheels make it special. Its length is 4340 mm (slightly longer), width 1790 mm, height 1655 mm, wheelbase 2610 mm and ground clearance 190-200 mm.
