Tata Motors will launch 7 new cars in India by 2030, in which in 2025, Tata Sierra will compete with Hyundai Creta and Maruti Victoris with petrol, diesel and electric variants.
New Delhi. Tata Motors has confirmed that the company will launch 7 new cars in India by 2030. Which first includes the all-new Sierra. A lot of excitement is being seen among the customers regarding 2025 Tata Sierra. In the midsize SUV segment, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, newly launched Maruti Victoris, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos and others. Interestingly, Tata will adopt a multi-powertrain strategy for the Sierra and will offer it with four engine options – petrol naturally-aspirated/turbocharged, diesel and electric.
Official launch dates for the ICE-powered (petrol and diesel) and electric versions of the Sierra have not been announced yet. However, the ICE models are likely to go on sale in November 2025, while the EV version will hit the roads in January 2025. Tata currently has many great cars in its portfolio which have a large and loyal customer base. A lot of buzz has already been created in the market about Tata Sierra. Industry experts consider Tata Sierra as India's first SUV. Now after a long time, this car is making a comeback in a new avatar in India.
Tata Sierra Petrol/Diesel Engine
Engine specifications have not been revealed yet. However, according to media reports, the Sierra will initially be offered with a new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, followed by a 1.5L turbocharged engine later. The naturally aspirated gasoline unit will power the entry-level variants, allowing Tata to offer the SUV at an aggressive starting price.
