Adult and child safety
Maruti Victoris scored 33.72 out of 34 in adult safety. The report said that the driver and the passenger's head and neck area get good safety in this car. The driver's chest received enough safety, while the passenger's chest got good safety. SUV gave good safety to the driver and passenger's knees as well as the driver's left tibia and the passenger's tibias. In the SUV, the driver's right tibia got sufficient safety. Bodyshell and footwell area were described as capable of tolerating more loading.

Side impact safety

It scored full marks (24 out of 24 points) in the dynamic test and in the CRS installation test (12 out of 12). In the frontal impact, the dummy of 18 months and 3 -year -old child was completely safe. Dummy was secured using the ISOFIX anchor and support leg in the rearward-facing child seat position in the front passenger seat.

New Delhi. Maruti Swift is a very popular model. Its popularity is not limited to India only. In many global markets, there is a good demand for this hatchback. It received a major generation update in 2024, which saw many changes in the car, style and safety features. However, it did not perform well in the crash test conducted by Australian Encap. The fourth generation Swift could only get a star safety rating. However, it got 3 stars in the Euro Encap Crash Test. The updated made-in-India Swift has now been crashed again by ANCAP.

Silent update
Suzuki recently updated Swift's species quietly, and these changes have proved to be helpful in improving safety ratings. Interestingly, both ANCAP and Suzuki have kept silence about these changes/updates made in the vehicle. Despite these changes, the price of Australia-Spec Swift remains the same.

Features separate from India-spec model

According to the information we have, these safety updates are included in the Swift sold since September 2025. The official website of the Australian Encap confirms that the new rating applies to all variants, except base-spec GL. The hatchback contains dual front, side chest and side cutting airbags (which occur for safety of passengers during the collision) come as standard fitments. Center airbags have not been given among the front passengers.

Safety score
The updated Swift scored 26.87 out of 40 in the Adult Occupant Protection Test – which is about 67% safety. It got 3.52/8 marks in the frontal offset test, 5.51/6 in side impact test and in the Obluge Poll Test. In the Child Occupant Protection Test, it got 32.28 out of 49. Safety was judged 65% here. The vehicle scored 8.51 points out of 16 in the front dynamic test and 5.54/8 in the side dynamic test. Valnarbal Road user protection was higher at 76%, as the vehicle scored 48 out of 63.

Honda will launch a new hybrid and electric SUV on the PF2 platforms in India in 2026-2027, including Honda elevate, Ace project and 50-70 percent exports.

New Delhi. To get back its steady market shares in the Indian market, Honda is planning to launch several new SUVs by 2030, including petrol, electric and hybrid powertrain. The car manufacturer will also introduce a new global platform – PF2, which will base the models of small and mid -size of Honda. The PF2 Architecture debut will be with a premium three-and SUV, which is going to come in 2027. The new generation Honda City sedan and a new subscriber SUV will also be designed on this platform.

How long will it be launched?
The Honda Hybrid SUV for India is planning to enter the Japanese and Hybrid SUV segment in 2026-2027. Its first Hybrid SUV in India will be Honda Elevate, which will probably debut during the festive season in the second half of 2026. While official powertrain details have not yet been revealed, Honda Eleivet Hybrid's City E: HEV is expected to share the Atkinson Cycle 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine.

Two electric motors

In the sedan, this motor comes with two electric motors – one acts as a generator and the other provides propulsion. The setup with the E-CVT gearbox offers 26.5kmpl mileage and a driving range of about 1,000km.

50-70 % export
Honda Electric SUV for India will hit the roads between Honda's first electric SUV April 2026 – March 2027. Unlike earlier media reports, Takashi Nakajima, president and CEO of HCIL, has confirmed that it will not be a base on the elevate. Instead, the new EV brand will be developed under the Ace (Asian compact electric) project. About 50-70 percent of the local-produced units will be reserved for export market.

Hyundai Cars Discount Offer: Car buyers are now getting the direct benefit of recent cuts in GST rates. Hyundai, the country's second largest carmaker, has reduced the prices of its top-5 best selling models. This includes Creta, Venue, Exter, Aura and Grand i10 NIOS. The company says that this relief will be completely delivered to the customers.

Creta, which is Hyundai's best -selling SUV, has now become cheaper than before. The old price of this car used to start from about тВ╣ 11.11 lakh to тВ╣ 20.92 lakh. After the reduction in GST, its price has declined by about тВ╣ 72,000. Creta provides 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engine options, as well as the facility of automatic and manual gearbox.

Customers have also benefited from the compact SUV segment on the car venue. Earlier its price used to start at тВ╣ 7.94 lakh, but after the decrease in GST, now its prices have decreased by тВ╣ 1.23 lakh. Venue has both petrol and diesel engine options and this car is known for modern features and safety.

The new launched exter has also got relief from this change. This car was available at a price ranging from тВ╣ 6 lakh to тВ╣ 10.51 lakh. Now it has seen a decline of about тВ╣ 89,000. This car comes in 1.2-liter petrol and CNG options and is proving to be a great compact SUV for cities.

There is also good news for those looking for a sedan car. The old price of Aura started from тВ╣ 6.54 lakh to тВ╣ 9.20 lakh. Now it has recorded a decrease of about тВ╣ 78,000. This car has a 1.2-liter petrol and CNG engine options. Stylish look and comfortable ride is making it the choice of middle class families.

Entry -level hatchback Grand i10 NIOS has also become even cheaper. Earlier it was priced between тВ╣ 5.98 lakh to тВ╣ 8.62 lakh. After the GST cut, it has declined by about тВ╣ 73,000. This car with a 1.2-liter petrol and CNG engine is an affordable option, especially for small families and for the first time car buyers.
