क्यूजे मोटर की रेंज में, एसआरसी 250 अब 1.79 लाख रुपये से घटकर 1.49 लाख रुपये पर उपलब्ध है, जो 30,000 रुपये की छूट (एक्स-शोरूम, दिल्ली) की वजह से है। इसके अलावा, एसआरसी 500 पर 40,000 रुपये की कटौती की गई है, जिससे इसकी कीमत 2.39 लाख रुपये से घटकर 1.99 लाख रुपये (एक्स-शोरूम, दिल्ली) हो गई है।

मोटो मोरिनी लाइन-अप में, एडवेंचर मॉडल X-Cape 650 और X-Cape 650X की कीमतें मई 2024 में शुरू की गई रियायती कीमतों पर ही रहेंगी। X-Cape 650 की कीमत अब 5.99 लाख रुपये है, जो 7.2 लाख रुपये से कम है, जो 1.31 लाख रुपये की छूट को दर्शाता है। इसी तरह, X-Cape 650X की कीमत में 1.01 लाख रुपये की कटौती की गई है, जिससे इसकी कीमत 7.2 लाख रुपये से घटकर 6.49 लाख रुपये हो गई है।

Martin, the Pramac rider seeking a maiden world title, was forced off the track by Bastianini's move to “knock” Marco Simoncelli off the track, giving Ducati their 100th MotoGP win, and he gestured angrily as he raced to second place.

But the fall of pole-sitter Bagnaia gives him a bigger buffer than expected ahead of next week's Indonesia MotoGP, although he was denied a first grand prix win since the Frenchman in June.

“I saw Enea was coming so I just tried to close the gap. Maybe it was a bit too much because he pushed me off the track so I couldn't get back and yes, maybe later I made some gestures because I was a bit hot,” said Martin.

Since the early 1990s, the government and citizens there have understood that electric vehicles are part of the future. The company will launch e-scooters under its Vida Electric brand in the UK, France, and Spain by mid-2025. Premium motorcycles will also be launched

New Delhi. Tata Motors has introduced its updated Tata Punch in India. The feature list of this new compact SUV has been updated, which includes new features like 10.25-inch touchscreen and wireless phone charger. The company has added some new options to the variants of the Punch and has also discontinued some, although the design of its exteriors and interiors remains the same as before.

Its base variant is available for Rs 6.13 lakh ex-showroom, while the price of the top-spec trim has been reduced by about Rs 20,000 from Rs 10.20 lakh. Tata Motors is also offering a discount of up to Rs 18,000 on the car till October 31. The 2024 Tata Punch competes with cars like Hyundai Xcent, Citroen C3, Maruti Ignis, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.

These new features were included
The 2024 Tata Punch now features a 10.25-inch touchscreen instead of the 7-inch screen, along with a new center armrest. It includes a wireless phone charger, Type-C fast charger, rear AC vents and other features. The dashboard has a silver finish around the AC vents, while the fabric upholstery of the seats has been updated.

Apart from this, the new Tata Punch includes features like a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, height adjustable driver seat, automatic AC and cruise control. It also has features like automatic headlamps, shark fin antenna, auto folding ORVM, LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, connected car technology and push button start-stop. Electric sunroof with voice command is also available in the top variant. For safety, it includes features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and rear parking camera.

Variant lineup and colours
The orange colour has been removed from the exteriors of the Tata Punch, while it is still available in the CNG version. Its variant lineup has also been updated.

Engine and Power
There is no change in the engine in the updated Tata Punch. It has a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder bi-fuel petrol engine, which generates 86 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. In CNG mode, this engine gives 73.4 bhp and 103 Nm of torque. For transmission, it also has the option of a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT gearbox with regular petrol variants.

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki on September 20 launched the new Waltz Edition of its popular entry-level hatchback WagonR in India. This limited edition will be available in Lxi, Vxi and Zxi variants, with two petrol and one CNG engine option. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), although the company has not yet disclosed the prices of all the variants. The company says that its petrol version will give a mileage of 25.19 km per liter.

At the same time, the price of the standard WagonR model is between Rs 5.54 lakh and Rs 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It will compete with cars like Maruti Celerio, Tata Tiago and Citroen C3 in the market.

Exterior Look and Colour Options
The exterior design of the Voltz edition is similar to the standard model, but it gets some additional accessories like front fog lamps, wheel arch cladding, bumper protector, side skirts, body side molding, chrome grille insert and door visor. The car is available in 7 single and 2 dual tone color options. The ZXI+ variant gets alloy wheels, while the other variants get steel wheels.

Interior and new features
Some cosmetic changes have been made in the interior of the Voltz edition, which include new seat covers, blue floor mats, steering wheel cover and door sill guards. Apart from this, features like two port fast charger and tissue box have also been added for smartphone charging. These changes have been made especially in the VXi and ZXi variants. Some new features have also been given in this edition, such as touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera and multi-speaker sound system. At the same time, the rest of the features are the same as the standard model.

Engine and Mileage
The car is offered with two engine options: a 1.2-litre K12N petrol engine that produces 89.73PS of power and 113Nm of torque, and a 1-litre K10C petrol engine that produces 66.62PS of power and 89Nm of torque. Both engines come with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options.

The CNG variant has a 1-litre engine that generates 57PS of power and 82Nm of torque and comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The mileage of the CNG variant is claimed to be 33.47 km per kg.

Volkswagen AG has begun cutting corporate jobs in China as it aims to reduce overhead by 20 percent globally over the next three years.

Several hundred local staff have been cut at the group level, according to people familiar with the matter, as Volkswagen grapples with a persistent drop in sales in its biggest market. The company's premium Audi brand has separately cut staff numbers, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information isn't public.

The moves are part of a worldwide effort to reduce costs by 2026, a plan Volkswagen reiterated in August, the company said in response to questions from Bloomberg News, though it declined to specify the size of the layoffs.

Volkswagen Group China “will make a significant contribution to this,” the company said in an email. Optimization efforts may also “include direct and indirect personnel costs” such as administration, travel and training, the company said, adding that it was too early to give a number as the effort was ongoing.

A consumer slowdown in China, as well as the market's accelerating trend toward electric vehicles, have left the former stronghold vulnerable for Volkswagen. In August, the company blamed the slowdown in China partly for a second-quarter drop in operating margin. Deliveries on the mainland fell 7.4 percent in the first half and slid 24 percent last year from 2019 levels amid stiff competition from local manufacturers such as BYD Co.

At its German home base, Volkswagen is considering shutting factories for the first time, Chief Executive Officer Oliver Blume said, as the environment in Europe has become even tougher with the arrival of new players.

The local cuts are being led by China chief Ralf Brandstätter and will happen in stages, the people said. Beijing’s recent move to raise the country’s retirement age had prompted Volkswagen to reevaluate its personnel levels and accelerate its job-cutting plans, they said.

Some employees were informed of the plan earlier this week, the people said. Some expatriate staff were being sent back to Germany and some mid- to high-level managers were being fired, they said.

Overhaul of China

The corporate reform includes structural restructuring, digitisation of processes, streamlining of operations and localisation of certain functions, the company said.

“A significant part of the efficiency target has already been identified in recent months,” VW China said. “Further measures are currently under review.”

Volkswagen’s premium Audi brand, which has more than 700 employees, will be hit hard by the efficiency drive, the people said. A drop in Chinese auto sales as well as a growing shift toward EVs have hurt foreign luxury brands. Mercedes-Benz Group AG issued a profit warning on Friday amid a deepening slowdown in the world’s biggest automotive market.

Volkswagen China makes up a tiny fraction of the company’s 90,000 employees in China, most of whom are employed at its joint ventures.Bloomberg News reported this week that Volkswagen and its longtime partner, SAIC Motor Corp., are separately preparing to shut at least one plant because of a slump in demand for combustion engine vehicles.

The company's share of operating income from Chinese enterprises is expected to fall 20 percent to 2.62 billion euros ($2.92 billion) in 2023, and has dropped by almost half since 2015.
