New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki's new offering in the premium mid-size SUV segment, Victoris, has crossed the sales mark of 30,000 units in just over two months of its launch. This SUV was launched in late September 2025 and by the end of November, about 30,057 units have been sold. This is a new name in the range of Rs 12 to 18 lakh, where customers usually first look towards Hyundai or Kia. Sharp growth from September to November Monthly data shows that there has been a steady increase in sales since the launch. Deliveries partially began in September, with 4,261 units sold. Victoris sales increased to 13,496 units in October. 12,300 units were sold in November, which is slightly less than October, but still a strong pace, especially considering the model has only been on the market for a few weeks.
Crossed the mark of 30,000 units If we add the figures of all three months the picture is clear. Victoris quickly achieved five-figure monthly volumes since its launch and crossed the 30,000 mark by the end of November. Comparison with Maruti's own Grand Vitara: One special thing in the October figures was that Victoris even left behind Maruti Suzuki's own Grand Vitara. In October, 10,409 units of Grand Vitara were sold, while 13,496 units of Victories were sold.
More reach than Grand Vitara What's working for the Victoris The reach of the Victoris is greater than the Grand Vitara as it is being sold through Arena dealerships. New Delhi. Honda Cars India has announced year-end discounts and benefits on all its models in the month of December. These offers will be available till the end of the month, which include cash discount, exchange bonus, loyalty rewards, corporate benefits and extended warranty offers. Honda Elevate Buyers of the top-spec ZX variant of the Honda Elevate can get benefits of up to Rs 1.36 lakh on both manual and automatic versions. This includes cash discount of up to Rs 30,000 and exchange bonus of up to Rs 45,000. Apart from this, a discount of Rs 19,000 is also being given on loyalty and corporate/self-employed benefits, free LED ambient lighting, 360-degree camera and 7 years extended warranty.
Entry-level SV trim Total benefits up to Rs 38,000 are available on the entry-level SV trim, along with scrappage benefits of at least Rs 20,000 (or exchange bonus plus Rs 5,000, whichever is higher). The price of Honda Elevate starts from Rs 11 lakh and goes up to Rs 16.46 lakh (ex-showroom).
Honda City Benefits of up to Rs 1.22 lakh are available on SV, V and VX automatic variants of Honda City. This includes cash and exchange discount of Rs 80,000, loyalty bonus of Rs 4,000, corporate benefits of up to Rs 10,000 and a discount of Rs 28,700 on 7 years extended warranty. The same extended warranty plan is available on the City Hybrid at a discounted rate, with a discount of Rs 17,000. The price of Honda City ranges from Rs 11.95 lakh to Rs 19.48 lakh (ex-showroom).
Honda Amaze Buyers of the third generation Amaze ZX MT variant of Honda Amaze can get a total discount of up to Rs 81,000, which includes cash of Rs 30,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 30,000. When the Hyundai Verna entered its sixth generation with the facelift, it was one of the first cars in India to adopt full-width LED lightbars for its DRLs and featured the sharp lines and outlines that underpin every new model from the South Korean carmaker. The mid-size sedan is now due for a mid-cycle update, and its test mule has once again been spotted on Korean roads. The upcoming iteration was seen with camouflage hiding its front and rear fascia, suggesting a facelift for the 2026 model year.
Otherwise, Hyundai's updates for the facelift are expected to largely focus on the front and rear of the sedan. These are likely to result in a more attractive design for the updated front grille and bumper. The car is expected to retain its split LED headlamp design with full-width LED DRLs, while the lighting signature will potentially be updated for renewed appeal among buyers in the segment.
The rear will also be updated, with the test mule speculating about updated taillamps and a revised rear bumper. As a result, the Verna facelift will continue to be offered with either a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. The naturally aspirated unit produces 113 bhp and 143.8 Nm, while the latter produces 160 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a CVT gearbox and a 7-speed DCT.
The current price of Hyundai Verna is ₹ 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelift will carry a slight premium when it reaches our shores. He further said, “Due to the continuous reduction in repo rate by RBI, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services is able to pass this benefit to the customers, due to which the impact of increase in prices is reduced to a great extent.” The amount of price change will vary depending on the model. What were the testing conditions?
The tested Sierra was equipped with Tata's newly introduced 6-speed automatic gearbox and was set to Sport mode, which ensured that the powertrain was operating in the most responsive manner. Designed by Martin Ulharich, the design of the SUV marks a significant step up from what Tata has traditionally produced for quite some time. Towards the front, the face gets a square shape. The corners have been rounded to give it a softer look. There is a certain freshness to connected LED DRLs as they do not have an end-to-end lightbar type design. The headlamps are also sleek, being only 17 millimeters thick. However, this does not affect the performance of the beam. In fact, it's one of the brightest LED projectors I've seen on any comparable SUV. Some may also notice a slight resemblance to the SUV's distant cousin, the Defender. Personally, I don't get it; However, I could immediately notice with Sierra that panel lag was addressed.

On the side profile of the Sierra. One thing that set the original Sierra apart from other SUVs of the time was the beautiful and huge quarter glass, which extended all the way to the roof. And to make the new SUV clearly 'Sierra', Tata decided to keep it there. Although the new one has no detailed quarter glass, it tries to resemble the original by adding a piano black finish just above the quarter glass. The 19-inch alloy wheels really add to its character, setting it apart from other SUVs that offer a maximum size of 18 inches. It is painted in Piano Black color around the wheel arches and the entire lower part of the car. This is an unconventional choice from Tata, as piano black tends to tarnish very easily.
From the side the Sierra looks like a daring yet futuristic SUV.
Going behind the car, for reasons unknown, the SUV reminds me of Iron Man's mask. It gets a flat rear end with slim single-piece LED tail lamp, which gives a futuristic touch to this SUV. The clamshell-boot door opening is also unique, allowing easy access to the SUV's 622-litre boot. The boot door is electronically operated and has gesture control for convenience. There's a bit of boot loading that gets in the way of things, but it's not big enough to be a problem.

One of the most attractive elements of the Tata Sierra is its color palette. It is offered in six options, which include Andaman Adventure (Bright Yellow), Bengal Rouge (Bright Red), Coorg Clouds (Metallic Silver), Munnar Mist (Colour Changing Dark Green), Pristine White and Pure Grey. We traveled around the city in Andaman Adventure and Bengal Rouge shades, and the car attracted people like bees on blueberry cheesecake. The SUV was attracting attention partly because of its iconic nameplate, but the colors were also adding fuel to the fire.

Tata Sierra: Performance and driving dynamics
We tested the newly engineered 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine along with the existing 1.5 diesel powertrain in Tata's portfolio on this new SUV. Keeping the best in mind for last, let's start with the diesel.
The 1.5-litre Cryojet is a familiar powertrain brought over from the Curve. Tata hasn't made much changes here; The engine senses torque and pulls in a linear manner. There is a small amount of turbo lag at start, which is a characteristic of turbocharged vehicles. The refinement levels of this engine are also something one can write home about, as it doesn't feel like a diesel unless pushed very hard. This engine of Sierra can be paired with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Now, the 6-speed automatic is a brand-new Japanese torque-converter transmission manufactured by Aisin. Now the transmission works well when driving comfortably around town. It shifts smoothly and downshifts quickly for overtakes. However, when you want it to be in manual mode, the transmission allows only superficial control. Once you step on the accelerator, it holds the gear until you reach redline and then upshifts for you, which is neither necessarily a good thing nor a bad thing. It also does not allow 'money-transfer'; The transmission keeps it safe even in manual mode.
A total of three engine options and three transmission options are available in Tata Sierra.
Enough of that, now let's address the elephant in the room and talk about the 1.5-litre Hyperion engine. I'm also eager to tell you about it, because it's more fun to drive than a diesel. And that's very admirable, considering that diesel engines tend to push people into their seats once the turbos are spooled up. The new Hyperion brings a new life to the Tata Sierra with its spirited character. The Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) gives the SUV even better low-end pull than the diesel. The engine pulls and pulls some more, and doesn't stop pulling. If you're keen enough there's a subtle amount of turbo whirring that can be heard, making the drive all the more satisfying for an enthusiast. It accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 10 seconds, and that's an impressive feat for an SUV that stands 1.7 meters tall and weighs close to 1.5 tonnes.

With a ground clearance of 205 mm, you feel confident in the SUV driving around large speed bumps and rough roads. Talking about rough patches, the suspension has been tuned on the soft side and it absorbs bumps even at high speeds of 60 kmph. Tata claims that they have integrated the technology and tuned the suspension in such a way that even if you are driving at highway speeds, the car will absorb unexpected and sudden shocks well. The slightly softer suspension imparts slight body roll to the animal; However, it is far from being unbearable. For an SUV of this size, it grips the tarmac very well and changing direction is not too difficult.
Tata Sierra: NVH levels and interior experience
Now inside, the cabin is a great place to stay; NVH is equipped with both engine options. Diesel noise is not going to bother the passengers. Road noise insulation also seems like a job well done. There are no rattles or rattles from inside either. The Sierra feels like a well-built and premium SUV here too.
Overall, the cabin looks and feels like a very premium space with a triple-tone interior combining black, off-white and beige colours. The expansive sunroof creates a very airy cabin feel and lets you enjoy the views above you more than ever.

The dashboard features the Sierra's 'piece de resistance', a triple-screen setup built like one big screen. This single unit consists of a passenger screen of 12.3 inches, an infotainment screen of the same size and a driver display of 10.25 inches with all the important information. They not only look good but also provide a lot of functionality inside the SUV.
The passenger screen lets kids play games through a controller connected via Bluetooth. One can connect a set of headphones and watch a movie on this screen. However, it won't be better than the Dolby Audio installed in the car, which delivers a very premium cinematic sound experience with the help of 12 speakers.
The car is also loaded with personalization features that allow the user to preset memory function seats, ambient lighting, AC temperature and even sunroof position. All you have to do is enter the car, touch the screen and load your profile, and the car will set everything up according to your chosen preferences.
Some people may enjoy operating touchscreen climate controls, while others may be frustrated by the lack of physical controls.
The panel below the touchscreen houses a soundbar that shoots mid-range music frequencies for you. Just below this is the touch-operated dual-zone climate control panel. This panel also has touch buttons for fog lamps, hill descent control, parking lights, lock unlock and 360-degree camera functionality.
There are plenty of cubby holes all around the car to hold your bottles, cups and even a dedicated storage for your umbrella. One storage that could have been better designed is the cubby under the driver's armrest. It's a deep but narrow space, good for holding bottles but not accessible enough for other things like mints, keys, and other accessories.
Tata Sierra: Verdict
The Sierra is a big, bold, and future-proof SUV, at least for a few years. It offers great engine options which are powerful. The new automatic transmission balances affordability and maintenance costs with everyday usability and performance. The entertainment suite and air cabin are good enough to keep the family happy. It is a great all-rounder package for a family man who still wishes to stand out.

e-Platform 3.0 Evo Architecture The electric variants of BYD Sealion 06 are built on the company's e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture, which supports both 400V and 800V systems. The entry-level EV has a 65.28 kWh battery, producing 170 kW of power and 330 N·m of torque, giving a CLTC range of 520 km. High-end 800V EVs come with a 78.72 kWh battery, 180 kW motor and a CLTC range of 605 km. It supports fast charging up to 237 kW and energy consumption is around 12.5 kWh per 100 km.
160 kW electric motor Plug-in hybrid variants feature BYD's 5th gen DM-i system, which combines a 160 kW electric motor with a 1.5-litre engine (74 kW and 126 N·m). Battery capacity ranges from 18.3 kWh to 26.6 kWh, giving an electric-only CLTC range of 121 to 170 km and a total range of up to 1,670 km. The hybrid powertrain includes BYD's Seven-in-One Power Domain Control System.
Dimensions The length of the vehicle is 4,810 mm, width is 1,920 mm, height is 1,675 mm and wheelbase is 2,820 mm. The interior has a 15.6-inch touchscreen, instrument cluster display, heated and ventilated front seats, 1.73 square meter panoramic roof and Dynaudio sound system. The EV version has an 800 volt electrical platform and 12-in-1 drive system, which supports fast charging up to 237 kW.
More than 30 thousand sales continuously for 4 months After launch, Sealion 06 sold 4,697 units in July, 30,483 units in August, 30,901 units in September and 33,200 units in October. More than 30,000 units are being sold every month since August. Although the sales figure for November 2025 has not been officially confirmed as a record, the Sealion 06 achieved the production milestone of 1 lakh units within 100 days of launch, the fastest for any model from BYD. All variants of the Sealion family sold a total of 54,955 units in November, bringing BYD's total new energy vehicle sales to 4,80,186 units in November.
