Safety
In terms of safety, Maruti E Vitara will get up to 7 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto hold and 360-degree camera. E Vitara has got 4 star safety rating in Euro NCAP crash test. Apart from this, it will also get Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology, which includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Alert and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

The electric SUV is compatible with Tesla Superchargers, said to replenish a range of between 238 km to 267 km with a 15-minute charge, depending on the battery pack.

कंपनी का लक्ष्य है कि 2028 तक उसके कुल वॉल्यूम में इलेक्ट्रिक रेंज की हिस्सेदारी लगभग 25 प्रतिशत हो।

महिंद्रा ने पिछले सात महीनों में 30,000 से अधिक ईवी (बीई 6 और एक्सईवी 9) बेची हैं, जिससे लगभग 8,000 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व प्राप्त हुआ है।

Famous actress Zeenat Aman was also with him in this scene. This car was the 1973 model of Ford's Mustang. It was not just a car but a walking symbol of the style, speed and attitude of that era. The 351 cubic inch i.e. 5.8 liter Cleveland V8 engine installed in this car produced 285 to 330 horsepower with a 4 barrel carburetor and that is why it was considered the fastest American muscle car of that era.

In the film, Amitabh Bachchan drove a Mustang with a 4-speed manual top loader gearbox, the shifting sound of which was clearly heard in the chase scenes and gave complete control to the driver.

This Mustang could accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 6.5 to 7 seconds, which was supercar-like performance for 1973.

Defender has unveiled the Dakar D7X-R, a competition-focused evolution of the Defender OCTA built to comply with the FIA's new Stock class regulations for 2026. Regulations prohibit major changes to the production vehicle, meaning the D7X-R retains OCTA's D7x aluminum body architecture, transmission and driveline layout. It is powered by the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, which should remain mechanically unchanged, and runs on FIA-compliant sustainable fuel.

Desert-inspired 'GeoPalette' design

Visually, the D7X-R features a new “Geopalette” livery shaped by desert tones of sand, stone and earth, contrasted by a hint of aqua representing rare desert water. The scheme reflects the raw, elemental atmosphere of rally-raid competition.

Production roots with motorsport-ready upgrades

Despite the limitations of the stock class, Defender Rally has added targeted enhancements for the Dakar and W2RC rounds. The D7X-R shares its bodyshell with the Defender 110, but integrates a 550-litre rear fuel tank for longer stages, some over 800 km. A full competition roll cage is fitted to protect the crew.

The ride height has been raised, the track width has increased by 60 mm, and 35-inch tires have been fitted for better off-road performance. Revised front and rear bodywork increases approach and departure angles while maintaining OCTA design cues. Extended protection under the floor has inspired revised sills and trimmed door panels.

Bilstein-developed suspension and improved cooling

The SUV retains the core suspension geometry of the OCTA, but adopts rally-spec dampers co-developed with Bilstein, which feature a single coil-over at the front and twin dampers at the rear to manage harsh impacts and the additional fuel load.

Cooling has been significantly upgraded for desert conditions: a large radiator replaces the road car's three radiators, assisted by four 12V fans. A redesigned bonnet improves heat extraction, and a particulate filter protects the engine from sand. Roof-mounted light pods and cabin air intakes have also been added.

The Defender Dakar-ready D7X-R is designed for the extreme demands of the 2026 Dakar Rally.

Refined driveline, upgraded brakes and new 'Flight Mode'

The eight-speed gearbox has been retained, but paired with a shorter final drive for stronger low-speed torque delivery. The braking system has been replaced with vented discs and multi-piston callipers. A new “Flight Mode” adjusts torque while the vehicle is airborne, helping to stabilize landings and protect the driveline.

Rally ready cockpit

Inside, the D7X-R features FIA-regulated navigation, a head-up display and customized motorsport seats. Supported by integrated hydraulic jacks, three spare wheels, tools and necessary spares are stored within the roll cage.

After more than 6,000 km of testing, Defender Rally will enter the D7X-R in its first competitive appearance at the 2026 Dakar Rally, starting on January 3 in Saudi Arabia.

New Delhi. The new Honda Amaze 3rd generation has been crash-tested under the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP) and the results have shown significant improvement in safety performance. This compact sedan, tested in October 2025, has performed well in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) categories. According to the official test report, the Amaze 3rd generation has scored 28.33 out of 32 in adult occupant protection and 40.81 out of 49 in child occupant protection. The 3rd generation Amaze has performed well in both the key crash assessments:

• Frontal offset deformable barrier test: 14.33 out of 16

• Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test: 14.00 out of 16

Safety Features

It has been reported that this sedan has been provided with standard frontal airbags, belt pretensioners and load limiters for both the driver and front passenger. Side head curtain airbags are also standard, significantly increasing side-impact protection. Safety assist features like ESC (Electronic Stability Control), seat belt reminders and pedestrian protection are standard across all variants.

Bharat NCAP crash test results so far

With the latest Bharat NCAP results, the newly tested Honda Amaze 3rd generation has entered at the 22nd position in terms of adult occupant protection. The compact sedan has scored 28.33 out of 32 for adult safety and 40.81 out of 49 for child safety, making it a strong performer among crash-tested cars in India. The top positions are still held by models like Tata Harrier EV, Mahindra XEV 9e and Mahindra BE 6, which have scored a perfect score of 32/32. At the same time, Amaze has left behind many popular mass-market models like Citroen Aircross, Maruti Baleno and Citroen Basalt. Its entry in the list further strengthens Honda's increasing focus on safety in the compact sedan segment.

New Delhi. Tata Motors has created a huge buzz in the market by launching its latest SUV Tata Sierra SUV. The price, look, features of this SUV, everything is being discussed in the automobile industry. New updates are coming about it continuously. Now a new update shows that Tata Sierra, the company which is not limited to just diesel and petrol variants, is going to bring many variants of this car. These will also be offered with all wheel drive, 7 seater layout and CNG. With these additions, the company will target buyers who like big families and off-roading.

Sierra Family Expansion

The Sierra is positioned as a midsize SUV, positioned between the Tata Curve and the larger Harrier SUV. Due to its bold and rugged styling, large cabin and feature-rich interior, this SUV is much talked about in the market. However, to take this success forward, Tata is planning to introduce new variants above the standard 5-seater, which will maintain their identity apart from the brand's larger SUVs. The company is working on a 7-seater variant. This 3-row layout will fall between the existing Sierra and full-size D-segment SUVs, giving Tata an opportunity to enter this fast-growing segment in India. Due to the Sierra's long wheelbase design and its modular architecture, this type of configuration is possible without major structural changes.

All-wheel drive and CNG option also in the pipeline

Tata is also working on all-wheel drive options for the Sierra, targeting buyers who want better traction and mild off-road capability, but don't want to compromise on everyday needs. The adult version will come stage wise, in which the adult will be available in the electric Sierra (EV) from the beginning of 2026. The internal combustion engine (ICE) adult variant is expected to be launched in early 2027. Along with the adult, Tata is also considering a CNG variant in view of the increasing demand for fuel efficiency and eco-friendly options in the midsize SUV segment. This will give customers a practical option for long distance travel and budget-friendly driving. The launch of CNG Sierra will depend on the development of the segment.

ARGOS Platform

The foundation of all these future variants is Tata's new ARGOS platform (All-Terrain Ready, Omni-Energy, and Geometry Scalable Architecture), which will support the 2025 Sierra. This modular architecture allows Tata to adopt multiple powertrains such as petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and EV. It also supports adult hardware, multiple wheelbase options and different interior layouts, making it easier for the brand to introduce new Sierra variants with less re-engineering.
