The company is presenting the FF S6 as a lightweight City+ EV, which is primarily meant for the city and is also capable of some outdoor excursions. It is basically a scrambler version of the FF C6. Its exact launch date has not been disclosed, but it will hit the roads in 2026. Talking about the design, the FF S6 has many elements that look different from the FF C6. These include knuckle guards, headlight cowl, front beak, USD telescopic front forks in place of girder forks, dual-sport tires with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, unique LED turn indicators with integrated tail lights similar to the Himalayan 450, single-piece narrow scrambler seat and more.

Elements shared with the FF C6 include LED lighting, aluminum main frame, magnesium battery casing, a sophisticated swingarm, a Qualcomm-powered 3.5-inch circular TFT touchscreen, sophisticated switchgear, cruise control, a keyless go system and more. Honda Elevate Hybrid According to media reports, Honda Elevate Hybrid will be the brand's first strong hybrid offering in India. This model may hit showrooms in the second half of 2026, possibly around Diwali. At present, powertrain details are not available yet. What feature enhancements has Royal Enfield made with the 2025 Meteor 350?
The Fireball and Stellar are now equipped with an LED headlamp and Tripper navigation pod as standard features. This LED headlamp has also been seen on other Royal Enfield motorcycles, although it is not the brightest option available.
The Aurora and Supernova feature adjustable levers to enhance ergonomics. This allows riders to modify the distance of the lever with their fingers, improving comfort.

This feature allows the second row passenger to electrically recline and slide the front passenger seat using a dedicated control panel, thereby providing ample legroom. This is a major upgrade compared to the manual Boss mode currently available in the XUV700 and shows Mahindra's intention to position the 9S as a driver-friendly electric flagship.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Exterior Design On the outside, the XEV 9S adopts a more upright and practical silhouette compared to Mahindra's other born-electric models like the BE 6 and The 9S is styled with an emphasis on maximizing interior room, resulting in a tall stance and a raised roofline. Design highlights include a closed front fascia with a connected LED DRL bar, triangle projector headlamps located low on the bumper and aero-optimized alloy wheels. At the rear, the SUV gets cleaner surfacing and sleek LED tail-lamps, which are inspired by the XUV700.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Interior Design Inside the cabin, the XEV 9S shares the overall layout of the XEV 9e but with a lighter, more premium color theme and a lounge-like ambiance. The dashboard continues with Mahindra's signature triple-screen layout, consisting of a fully digital instrument cluster, a large central infotainment display and a dedicated passenger-side screen.
What did you see in the teaser? The teaser also gives a glimpse of features like ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a wireless charger, a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and soft-touch materials throughout the cabin. With the INGLO platform featuring a flat floor and sliding/reclining seats for the first and second rows, the 9S offers superior flexibility and easy access to the third row. A panoramic sunroof and a Harman Kardon audio system enhance the overall experience.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Battery and range Powertrain details have not been revealed yet, however, the XEV 9S is expected to use the same 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs offered in the XEV 9e and BE 6. These units produce 231hp and 286hp respectively, both with 380Nm of torque. The larger battery pack in Mahindra's existing EVs offers a range of over 650 km, so the 9S can support ultra-fast DC charging with the same long-range capability.

Tata has not yet announced the complete feature list of the base variant of Sierra. However, here we take a look at what you can expect from the most affordable trim.
Tata Sierra base variant features A recently released teaser has shown a dual screen setup in the interior of Sierra, which can be offered in lower variants. Higher end trims can have a three-screen layout, including touchscreen infotainment, digital driver display and a dedicated front passenger display. Interestingly, the dual screen setup will feature a traditional digital instrument cluster with a hooded binnacle.
head up display There will also be a head-up display (HUD) with dual screen setup, which was not there in the model with triple screen setup. Features like two-spoke illuminated steering wheel with mounted controls, height adjustable driver seat, rear seat armrest with cupholders, reverse parking sensors, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and Isofix child mounts could be part of the standard equipment list.
Design Details The Tata Sierra base variant will have LED headlamps with DRLs, LED taillamps, flush door handles and steel wheels. Larger alloy wheels may be reserved for higher trims. Lower variants may get monotone color schemes, while dual-tone finishes may be exclusive to the top-end trims.
engine options According to reports, the new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine may be reserved for the lower trims. The high end variants may have all-new 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines. Tata Sierra EV, which is likely to arrive in early 2026, could be based on mid to high end trims.

What features will be available in the cheapest variant of Sierra? To buy the base model or not?
Royal Enfield revealed its Continental GT 750 prototype at the Motoverse event in Goa. This race-focused motorcycle features a new chassis, Showa suspension and a 750cc engine.

Royal Enfield has showcased its new Continental GT 750 prototype at this year's Motoverse event in Goa, marking the bike's first appearance in India after the international showcase at EICMA 2025. However, the motorcycle is under development and has even been given a “testing in progress” badge at the EICMA show. It will be prepared for competitive action in the 2026 INRC season.
The motorcycle on display hints at major structural updates. It appears to use a newly engineered chassis and revised steering assembly. The suspension setup is also different. Royal Enfield has equipped the bike with Showa components tuned specifically for racing, including telescopic forks and twin rear shocks.
Since it is a pure race prototype, it may weigh less than the existing 650 platform. The braking hardware has also been upgraded, with twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
New 750cc engine under development
The prototype uses an all-new 750cc parallel-twin engine. As per initial estimates the output is around 54 to 55 bhp and around 65 Nm of torque. The race bike may deliver more figures once the tuning is complete, but Royal Enfield has not revealed the final numbers. The six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch from the existing twin-cylinder line are expected to be retained.

The GT 750 prototype is faithful to Royal Enfield's retro racing roots. It features a compact semi-fairing, a café-racer tank and a short tail section with tuck-and-roll seats. The motorcycle runs on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in soft-compound tires suitable for track use.
Clip-on handlebars sit lower and steeper than the stock position, causing the rider to lean forward. Dual exhausts are more compact and free-flowing, benefiting from the absence of emissions-control components. Adjustable levers and suspension further underline the racing intent. Despite its performance role, the prototype continues to use a conventional fork rather than an inverted unit.

Royal Enfield is likely to unveil the production-ready Continental GT 750 at EICMA 2026. Market launch is expected near the end of that year.

The Hosur Powertrain Plant, operational since 2017, stands today as the most visible expression of that strategy, emerging as a key node in the group's global engine and transmission network.
A long and layered legacy of India
Stellantis' footprint in India is shaped by a long manufacturing lineage that dates back to the Fiat era, when powertrain production formed the backbone of the company's local operations. Fiat's engine programs helped establish one of India's early high-precision supplier bases, supported by dedicated machining lines, training systems and long-term component partnerships. This ensured continuity as the organization transitioned from Fiat to FCA and later Stellantis, with the powertrain remaining the most stable element of its Indian strategy.
Through this legacy, India evolved as a sustainable manufacturing contributor to global engine and transmission programs. The experience gained over decades, including supplier relationships and workforce capacity, created the conditions for Stellantis to develop India as a key node within its international powertrain network. The Hosur plant, which came online in 2017, was a direct extension of this approach, designed from the beginning to meet both domestic and export demands while working in accordance with global quality, testing and process standards.

A powertrain complex built for scale
Spread over 110 acres, the Hosur facility produces three engine families – 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (Gen-3) and 2.0-litre SDE diesel, along with multiple manual transmission variants (6-speed and 5-speed families). About 95 percent of production is exported, supplying more than 20 markets in Europe, Türkiye, the Middle East and Latin America. Overall, Hosur's engine and gearbox lines account for about 5 percent of Stellantis' global powertrain volumes.

The result is a line that runs 50-60 percent more efficiently than a fully manual setup, yet remains faster to reconfigure than the fully automated European systems against which it is benchmarked. Lead times tell the same story: Gearbox assembly in Hosur is typically completed four to five months faster than at many of the company's other global plants, which is a sobering indicator of how mature the processes here have become.
Testing capacity has expanded in line with production requirements. Stellantis was the first company to adopt cold-test technology in India, developing its system in just two months, whereas these projects elsewhere typically require five months. Today, 60 percent of engines undergo cold testing, with the remaining units validated through mandatory hot tests.
Workforce, skills and local impact
Hosur's workforce profile reflects the plant's dual role as a high-precision manufacturing site and a regional employer. The site directly employs around 1,500 people drawn from 16 Indian states, with women comprising around 18 per cent of the workforce. Stellantis estimates that the plant supports more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs in the surrounding economy through supplier activity, logistics and services.
Skill development is inherent in the Hosur model. The in-house training institute has recorded a 95 percent first attempt pass rate for trainees; New recruits receive two weeks of structured on-the-job and classroom training, while team leaders undergo a three-month development track.
The plant currently operates three shifts with 33 trained team leaders (approximately 11 per shift), and provides over 150 hours of training per operator per year. These investments are aimed at building stable shop-floor competency that can meet global quality standards and support increasingly complex verification tasks.
Beyond employment, the plant runs community and CSR programs focused on STEM education, school infrastructure and road safety, actions the company takes as part of its local integration strategy.
Stellantis' manufacturing plant in Hosur claims to get 92 percent of its energy from renewable energy, 74 percent from wind and 18 percent from solar.
Sustainability integrated into operations
