Maruti Suzuki India Limited has issued a recall for its Grand Vitara SUV sold in the Indian market. This recall has been done due to a possible fault in the fuel level indicator and warning system of the model.
According to the automaker's announcement through a regulatory filing, 39,506 units are affected, which were manufactured between December 9, 2024 and April 29, 2025.
According to the Indian automaker, the fuel level gauge and warning light in the speedometer unit may not display the fuel level correctly, which may give drivers wrong information about the fuel left in the tank.
The brand will directly contact the owners of the affected vehicles to resolve this issue. Affected customers will be requested to visit an authorized Maruti Suzuki service center to get the fault checked and replaced.
The company has assured that this repair will be done at no cost to the owners.
This recall has been initiated as a precautionary measure, and MSIL has asked customers to immediately respond to communications made to dealer workshops so that necessary service of their vehicles can be done.
It is worth noting that Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is one of the popular hybrid SUVs in the Indian market. Its starting price is Rs 10.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 19.72 lakh (ex-showroom) for the most expensive variant.

Instead of handling a cable, owners will be able to park on a floor-mounted plate in their garage and let the car do the rest. Here's a clear explanation of how the system works, what makes it different and why it matters.
A wireless setup consists of two main components:
The floor plate houses all the necessary electronics in a single box approximately 6 cm high, 78 cm wide and 117 cm long. Unlike previous inductive systems that required additional hardware, such as a wallbox, this plate only requires connection to the household power supply.
Before charging for the first time, the vehicle and the plate perform a one-time digital handshake, exchanging data and passwords via the plate's built-in Wi-Fi. This prevents misuse including attempts at power theft.
To guide the car to the right place, Porsche uses technology similar to its Keyless Go system.
Even if the alignment is not perfect, the system allows up to 10 cm of misalignment, with the software continuously adjusting the charging parameters to maintain efficiency.
Although the idea is similar to wireless phone charging, the underlying engineering is more complex. The plate uses inductive coupling, where a magnetic field created by a coil in the floor plate induces a voltage in a matching coil on the vehicle.
To make this work at EV-scale power levels, the system converts regular grid electricity into direct current and then transforms it, inside the plate, into high-frequency alternating current of about 85 kHz. This high-frequency signal is what allows useful amounts of energy to efficiently cross the air gap. Continuous software monitoring ensures that even if the coils are not perfectly aligned, the power flow remains stable.
Charging in the air gap requires careful control of heat, magnetic fields, and anything that slides under the vehicle. The receiver is surrounded by shielding to keep magnetic exposure away from the cabin, while ferrite components in the plate and vehicle direct the magnetic field where it is needed.
The plate constantly checks for metal objects, keys, tools and coins that may become hot if left on or near the charging area. It also uses motion detection to keep pets or hands from reaching under the car. If something is detected, the system warns the driver or stops charging immediately. Porsche says the technology also stays well within electromagnetic-compatibility limits to avoid interference with other electronics.
Day-to-day use is designed to feel “normal” without any cables. Park, confirm alignment on the display, set the parking brake and drive away. Charging times and performance should match what owners already expect from a wired 11 kW home setup.
Porsche is also exploring a future version where the car could park itself on top of the plate and automatically begin charging, taking the driver out of the process entirely.

It produces 136 hp at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) system for clutchless upshifts and downshifts. Audi has unveiled the R26 Concept, providing a first look at its Formula 1 design language and detailing the team's preparations for its debut in the 2026 season. The reveal at the Audi Brand Experience Center in Munich is a major step towards the company's entry into the pinnacle of motorsport.
The R26 Concept introduces a clean, geometric aesthetic defined by titanium, carbon black and the new Audi Red. The brand's iconic four rings will also appear in red for the first time, reserved exclusively for its Formula 1 identity. Chief creative officer Massimo Frascella said the concept represents Audi's new design philosophy, which aims to unify its racing presence and road-car lineup through simplicity and precision.
Audi's Formula 1 program operates at three major locations. The Neuburg facility in Germany leads the development of the power unit. This unit is a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 hybrid that runs on sustainable fuel under the new 2026 regulations. The hybrid system will provide almost identical power to the combustion engine, making F1 technology relevant to the road car.
Chassis development and race operations are based at the former Sauber factory in Hinwil, Switzerland, now wholly owned by Audi. A technical office in Bicester, UK, provides access to motorsport expertise from the heart of “Motorsport Valley”.
The F1 team will be led by Mattia Binotto and Jonathan Wheatley, who will report directly to CEO Gernot Dollner. The driver lineup includes Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoletto, who combine experience with emerging talent.
Döllner called the entry the “next chapter” in Audi's renewal, which aims to make the team competitive by 2030. CFO Jürgen Rittersberger said the move is in line with the brand's long-term business strategy, citing Formula 1's cost-cap model and global audience as key incentives.
Audi has already secured Adidas, BP and Revolut as key partners. The first full F1 car will be revealed in January 2026. This will then be followed by testing in Barcelona and Bahrain before the team's race debut at the Australian Grand Prix (6-8 March, 2026).

New Delhi. Porsche has launched the updated 911 Turbo S (992.2) in India, with prices starting at Rs 3.80 crore (ex-showroom). Launched globally at the Munich Motor Show earlier this year, this latest 911 model breathes new life into the brand's flagship supercar with electrified performance, sharp design and reworked dynamics. Deliveries in India are expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six T-Hybrid powertrain
The new Turbo S is powered by Porsche's next-generation 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six T-Hybrid powertrain, which is shared with the latest 911 Carrera GTS, but with the addition of an additional turbocharger to deliver even more power. The result is a massive power output of 711bhp and 800Nm, which is 61hp more than its predecessor. Power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, allowing the coupe to accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 2.5 seconds, 200kmph in 8.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 322kph.
14 second reduction in lap time
The new 911 Turbo S has become one of the fastest road-legal 911s ever, with a 14-second reduction in the Nurburgring lap time compared to its predecessor model. The Turbo S gets Porsche's most advanced chassis setup, including the latest Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system and a new sports exhaust, which is 6.8 kg lighter due to its titanium construction. Braking duties rest on the largest discs ever fitted to a two-door Porsche: 420mm carbon ceramic rotors at the front and 410mm at the rear, which offer tremendous stopping power and fade resistance.
Unique 'Turbonite' finish
The 992.2 Turbo S differentiates itself with its wide stance, active front diffuser, new centre-lock alloy wheels (20-inch at the front, 21-inch at the rear) and a distinctive ducktail spoiler. The model also features a unique 'Turbonite' finish, a gray color scheme reserved exclusively for Turbo-badged Porsches, used on exterior accents, badging and wheels.
What's in the cabin?
The cabin also carries the same Turbonite theme, with accents on the steering wheel, dashboard, door trims, seat belts and even the chronograph. Standard features include 18-way adjustable sport seats plus with memory, a digital driver display, wireless smartphone connectivity, dual-zone climate control and a premium infotainment suite. The coupe is configured as a two-seater, however, optional rear seats can be added at no additional cost.

The interior of the new 2026 Toyota Fortuner may bear a lot of similarity with the Hilux. Adopting Toyota's “Robust Simplicity” philosophy, the SUV may come with a larger, freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a new fully digital instrument cluster, redesigned dashboard, wireless charger and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.

The infotainment unit may get the latest gen software, and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This time, the Fortuner may also be offered with a panoramic view monitor, 'Toyota Safety Sense 3' ADAS suite and a multi-terrain monitor. Features like new steering wheel, premium audio system, height adjustable headrest, multiple Type-C USB charging ports and rear center armrest may also be a part of the package.
The previous engines will remain intact
The new 2026 Toyota Fortuner is expected to retain the existing 2.8L diesel and 2.7L petrol engines in India. The diesel motor, mated to 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox, produces maximum power of 204PS and torque of up to 500Nm. The petrol engine generates power of 166PS and torque of 245Nm. It can be had with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. Both RWD and 4WD drivetrains will remain on offer.

New Delhi. The Tata Harrier and Safari petrol versions of the buyers are finally close to being launched in the market. Both SUVs are scheduled to be launched on December 9, 2025. They will get power from Tata's new 1.5L TGDi (Turbocharged, Direct Injection) petrol engine, this is Tata's latest and powerful engine. Tata had introduced this engine in the Auto Expo
Tata's 1.5L TGDi petrol engine was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. This engine produces maximum power of 170PS at 5,000rpm and torque of 280Nm between 2,000rpm – 3,500rpm. Tata's new 1.5L turbo petrol engine adheres to BS6 Phase II emission norms and is capable of running on E20 ethanol blended petrol.

Made from lightweight aluminium, the new TGDi engine is tuned for better mileage. It has benefited from the latest tech like water-cooled variable geometry turbocharger, variable valve timing and integrated exhaust manifold. Transmission options will include both manual and automatic gearboxes.
The upcoming Tata Sierra will also use the new 1.5L turbo petrol engine for its high end variants, while the lower trims will get a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine. This dual powertrain will help Tata Sierra launch with an aggressive pricing.

The price of petrol variants of the SUV is expected to range from around Rs 11 lakh for the base variant to around Rs 20 lakh for the top-end trim. The Sierra lineup will also be offered with a 1.5L diesel engine. The Tata Sierra EV will arrive in early 2026, which will share its powertrain with the Harrier EV.
Tata Harrier and Safari petrol prices are expected to be more affordable than their diesel variants. Currently, the Harrier diesel lineup is priced between Rs 14 lakh to Rs 25.25 lakh and the Safari diesel is priced between Rs 14.66 lakh to Rs 25.96 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
