BMW India has launched its popular sport utility coupe BMW X6 M60i xDrive in the Indian market. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at ₹ 1.77 crore. It has been brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The new X6 M60i has a refreshed design, powerful 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, advanced cabin technology and better driving dynamics.
This model offers the best combination of performance and style in the luxury SUV segment. With its aggressive M-specific styling, powerful engine and luxury features, it is an attractive option for those customers who want sporty looks and strong performance. BMW claims that this V8 engine is one of the most powerful V8-powered luxury SUVs available in India.
Design and interior
The new BMW X6 M60i xDrive comes with an updated front fascia while retaining its signature coupe-like roofline. It has slimmer Adaptive LED headlights, arrow-shaped daytime running lights and M Shadowline treatment. The kidney grille comes with matte black finish with vertical double slats and M badge. Gloss black M exterior mirrors, M-specific side skirts, black high-gloss trim, rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets and 21-inch M alloy wheels make it more aggressive. 6 exterior color options available.
The cabin features BMW's latest curved display setup, with the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch central touchscreen integrated into a single glass panel. Sensafin upholstery, ambient lighting (with M graphics), fine wood trim, Harman Kardon surround sound system, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats (with memory function), soft-close doors and optional massage function add to the luxury experience.
Features and safety
The infotainment runs on BMW Operating System 8.5, which supports touch, voice commands, wireless smartphone connectivity, remote software updates and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. ConnectedDrive technology includes Digital Key Plus, Real Time Traffic Info, Emergency Call, Remote Services via My BMW App and Head-Up-Display. Features like Parking Assistant Professional, 360-degree camera and Reversing Assistant (up to 200 metres) add to the convenience.
For safety, it has been provided with 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, dynamic stability control, dynamic traction control, cornering brake control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, tire pressure monitoring system, crash sensors and side-impact protection.
Engine and Performance
The highlight is the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, which generates 530 hp power and 750 Nm torque with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Power goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel-drive system. 0-100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
