New Delhi. Hyundai Motor India has announced a plan to launch 26 new models by 2030, including ICE (internal combustion engine), hybrid and electric vehicles. One of these will be the Hyundai Bayon compact crossover, which will be introduced up to the mid of 2026 in the direct competition of Maruti Fronx. In global markets, Hyundai Bayon competes with Volkswagen T-Cross and Ford EcoSport. The price of Hyundai will be between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh.

New petrol engine
According to media reports, Hyundai Bayon will be the first model of the brand which will have a new local developed 1.2L TGDI petrol engine. It is being said that this new engine will give better torque and driveability than Venue's 1.0L petrol engine, which generates 120bhp maximum power and 172Nm torque. This will be more compact and economical than Creta's 1.5L Turbo Petrol Engine, which generates 160bhp maximum power and 253Nm torque.

Hybrid-redi technology

The new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that debuts with Bayon in India will also be used for Hyundai's Hybrid and compact models, which will be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. This will complete the upcoming Café 3 and BS7 emission standards. Hyundai Bayon will come with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT Automatic Gearbox option. According to rumors, based on variants and applications, it can get DCT or ECVT transmission in India.

The new Hyundai Bayon will come with several features, including a 10.25-inch infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, 10.25-inch digital driver display, 8-speaker bose sound system, 8-spoke steering, wireless, wireless lighting, an ambient lighting, Fast-charging USB Type-C ports, OTA updates, Adas (Advanced Driver Assistance System), LED headlamps with split patterns, LED strip on bone, LED strip, black plastic cladding, Hanicomb patterns with air dams with honeycomb pattern Boomerang-shaped tailmpions include.

Exterior
Some details have been revealed from spy shots. It shows in the front spy shot that the SUV will get features like plastic wheel arch, 5-spoke alloy wheels, sculptted bonnets. In the car's rear, spiler, roof rail, shark fin antenna, scalpted tailgate with number plate in the housing center, and can be seen in the rectangular tail-lights.

Interior

There is not much information about the interior of the new Nissan SUV, but, it is believed that this SUV will share layout, features list and safety kit with Reno Duster. There is not much information about features or safety kit in spy image, but the possibility of getting Adas suit is complete.

Nissan line up will include
The 7-seater version of the SUV will be included in the Nissan Line-up, and it will be based on the Reno Bigster which has been introduced to the international markets. However, Nissan India MD Saurabh Vatsa told Autocar India that its midsize SUV's 7-seat variant (coming in 2027) will not only be “plus-2 configuration”, but a very different SUV. Which will be engineered as a 7-seater.

CNG option will also be available
The upcoming Reno and Nissan Midsize SUVs are expected to share the powertrain options. Both SUVs will initially run with petrol, although which engine will be introduced, it is not confirmed yet. Brezza and Scorpio
