Here comes the new variant of this cheap hatchback, priced at just 5.65 lakhs, will give a good mileage of 25.19 Kmpl

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki on September 20 launched the new Waltz Edition of its popular entry-level hatchback WagonR in India. This limited edition will be available in Lxi, Vxi and Zxi variants, with two petrol and one CNG engine option. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), although the company has not yet disclosed the prices of all the variants. The company says that its petrol version will give a mileage of 25.19 km per liter.

At the same time, the price of the standard WagonR model is between Rs 5.54 lakh and Rs 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It will compete with cars like Maruti Celerio, Tata Tiago and Citroen C3 in the market.

Exterior Look and Colour Options
The exterior design of the Voltz edition is similar to the standard model, but it gets some additional accessories like front fog lamps, wheel arch cladding, bumper protector, side skirts, body side molding, chrome grille insert and door visor. The car is available in 7 single and 2 dual tone color options. The ZXI+ variant gets alloy wheels, while the other variants get steel wheels.

Interior and new features
Some cosmetic changes have been made in the interior of the Voltz edition, which include new seat covers, blue floor mats, steering wheel cover and door sill guards. Apart from this, features like two port fast charger and tissue box have also been added for smartphone charging. These changes have been made especially in the VXi and ZXi variants. Some new features have also been given in this edition, such as touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera and multi-speaker sound system. At the same time, the rest of the features are the same as the standard model.

Engine and Mileage
The car is offered with two engine options: a 1.2-litre K12N petrol engine that produces 89.73PS of power and 113Nm of torque, and a 1-litre K10C petrol engine that produces 66.62PS of power and 89Nm of torque. Both engines come with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options.

The CNG variant has a 1-litre engine that generates 57PS of power and 82Nm of torque and comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The mileage of the CNG variant is claimed to be 33.47 km per kg.
