India's sub-compact SUV (3.8-4 meter) segment has performed well in June 2026. The major five vehicles of the segment together recorded strong sales, in which Tata Punch captured the market with more than double the sales. Overall, this segment witnessed good growth on an annual basis.

Tata Motors' two models Punch and Nexon have jointly achieved more than 40% market share. Vehicles from Maruti, Hyundai and Mahindra also performed solidly. This growth has also been largely dependent on the increasing popularity of electric variants, new features and aggressive pricing. This time there has been a significant increase compared to June 2025. Let's take a look at the model-wise sales report of the segment.
