Next-Gen Hyundai Creta To Get A New Design
The upcoming Creta is expected to adopt a more squared-off design. The front-end details remain hidden, although the test vehicle appears to have a revised bonnet and new lighting elements. Earlier sightings of the SUV have also shown changes at the rear, along with redesigned alloy wheels. Hyundai appears to be giving the Creta a stronger SUV stance while retaining the basic proportions that have made it popular in the mid-size SUV segment.

The new model is expected to use Hyundai-Kia’s K3 platform. The newer architecture could offer better packaging and help accommodate the additional technology planned for the next-generation SUV.
Hyundai Creta To Get A New Cabin
The interior is likely to see a significant transformation. Previous spy shots have shown a large freestanding touchscreen paired with a slimmer digital instrument display, giving the dashboard a cleaner appearance. Hyundai is also expected to introduce its Pleos Connect infotainment system in the new Creta. The system is part of the brand’s move towards more connected vehicles and is expected to support features such as over-the-air updates. Another interesting detail seen in earlier test vehicles is a new seat-control arrangement.
The powertrain line-up could also receive an important addition. Hyundai is reportedly considering a strong-hybrid version of the next-generation Creta, potentially using the company’s 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as part of the setup. If introduced, the hybrid could provide a more fuel-efficient alternative to the conventional engine options.
Hyundai has not yet confirmed the specifications or whether the hybrid will be available in India. The existing petrol and diesel powertrains are also expected to continue, although the final engine choices will be confirmed closer to the SUV’s launch.
Next-Generation Hyundai Creta Launch
The new-generation Creta is expected to make its India debut in 2027. Until then, Hyundai is likely to continue testing the SUV on public roads as development progresses. The Creta will continue to compete against established models such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Renault Duster and Nissan Tekton.
