Hyundai has launched its premium electric SUV IONIQ 5 in India with a new updated version. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 55.70 lakh. This car is a futuristic electric crossover built on the E-GMP platform, which will give a new dimension to electric mobility with attractive design, spacious interior and long range.
The design of IONIQ 5 is based on parametric pixel theme, which gives it a completely unique and futuristic look. It has features like pixelated LED headlamps and taillamps, clamshell hood, angular aerodynamic body lines and vision roof. The rear wheel drive (RWD) single permanent magnet synchronous motor generates 160 kW (approximately 217 PS) of power and 350 Nm of torque. Its ARAI-claimed range is up to 690 KM. With fast charging support, 10-80% charge is done in just 18 minutes. Full charge takes approximately 7 hours in AC charging (11 kW). There is a warranty of 8 years/1.6 lakh km on the battery.
