Tata Motors will soon launch the new 4X4 SUV to compete with Mahindra Thar, which has Kodename Scarlett. This SUV will come with more space and many engine options than Nexon. The price will be around 15 lakh rupees.

Tata Motors is ready to launch a new SUV to compete with Mahindra Thar. Earlier, there were things that the brand is working on a boxy design SUV which will have 4×4 capacity. However, it was away from reality then. Now, Autocar India has reported that Tata Motors is working on this SUV and has been given a codename scarlet.
The upcoming Tata SUV will be a sub-4 meter SUV whose length will be similar to Nexon. However, the boxy design will offer more space than Nexon. Now, the design itself will not be separated from Nexon. Like Nexon, it will be introduced with ice and EV Poverty. However, for ice, it can probably be made on the atlas platform of the curve.
Engine options
In the case of engine options, the SUV can get a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine from Nexon. Along with this, options of 1.2-liter TGDI of Curve and a new 1.5-liter NA petrol engine can also be offered. No, diesel engine will not be option with SUV. What about Ev? Well, we can expect battery and motors curve. EV will be shared with EV.
How much will the price be?
But what can be the price of upcoming Tata SUV? With the new SUV, Tata Motors is targeting the segment where the brand has ruled for years. Like Nexon and Panch, the new SUV will be a sub-4 meter product. With this, the brand can be offered at the aggressive price. For the beginning, we can expect it to be expensive and cheaper than Tata Nexon.
