Large relief for non-fasting users on tolls, penalty decreased on payment through UPI

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has given a major relief for non-fasting users by reducing fine for the same. According to a recent report, non-fasting users will have to pay 1.25 times more of the price of toll fee, rather than doubling. Amendment is only for users who pay through the Integrated Payment Interface (UPI). The new rule will be applicable from November 15, 2025.

Non-Fastag users now pay 1.25x as punishment

For non-fasting users, this step should come as a major relief. For example, if the cost of a toll fee Using 100 Fastag, non-Fasting users must pay 1.25 times the price or 125, as toll fee with fine. Currently, non-fasting users double the price or 200 (in this example), not having a valid fastag. The move aims to plug cash leakage during toll collection on national highways. Under the GST reform, the price of this car has now been cut by up to Rs 80,000.

Although these new tax rates have reduced the prices of cars of all segments, buyers can now save up to Rs 88,000 on Maruti Suzuki Dzire. New Delhi. Tata Motors set the record for the highest monthly cell in September 2025, selling 59,667 units, while 41,063 units were sold in September 2024. The Nexon Subcompact SUV emerged as the top sales contract with a sale of over 22,500 units, which is the highest cell for any Tata Motors passenger vehicle so far. Petrol and CNG option
2027 Tata Nexon is expected to maintain existing petrol and CNG engine options. However, it remains to be seen whether the diesel engine will continue in the next generation. The current 1.5L diesel engine uses the BS6 Phase II Emission Norms using an expensive SCR (selected Catatic Reduction) system, but it will be expensive to upgrade to complete the upcoming BS7 emission norms.

In the subcompact SUV segment, the new Nexon Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonnet, Skoda Kyalak and Mahindra will continue to compete with the XUV 3xo. New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) recorded a total sales of 1,89,665 units in September 2025, which had 1,84,727 units in the same month last year, which led to an annual growth of 2.7%. The company sold 1,32,820 units in the domestic market, which is 8.4% less than the 1,44,962 units sold in September 2024. In the first eight days of Navratri, Maruti Suzuki delivered a record 1,65,000 units, which recently shows positive effects of GST price cut.

The company sold 48,695 units UV (utility vehicles), including Froncs, Brezza, Victoris, Grand Witara, Jimny, Ertiga, XL6 and Invulto. Last month, the company sold 74,090 units of mini and compact cars, while 2,891 units were sold in the Light Commercial Vehicle Segment.

The company's exports touched the highest monthly level with 42,204 units, which was 27,728 units in September 2024 and 36,538 units in August 2025. These figures reflect a strong focus on the brand's foreign markets.

Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its SUV model lineup with three major launch-e vitara electric SUVs, Fronx Strong Hybrid and a premium three-ru SUV. Maruti E Vitara will come with 49kwh and 61kwh battery packs, and will claim more than 500 km MIDC range. Some of its major highlights include Level-2 Adas, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, powered driver seats, reclining and split rear seats etc.

The Maruti Fronx will be the first model of the brand that will have a new affordable Strong Hybrid Povertrain, which has been largely in-house developed for the market. Car manufacturer is likely to hybridize its 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine. A new Maruti premium SUV, which will be more than 4.5 meters in length. This is likely to be based on Grand Vitara, in which platforms, powertrains and features will be shared. After launching, the new 7-seater SUV will compete directly to Hyundai Alkazar, Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari.
