However, in 2021 this number increased to 60,711. 58,089 units were sold in financial year 2022, 77,399 in 2023, and 50,478 units in 2024. At the same time, till October 2024, sales of 37,202 units were recorded in the financial year 2025.

Under the new rules, now the company can import only 8000 units of electric cars in the country in a year, the total number of which cannot exceed 40,000 units.
