The new Tata Punch 2026 facelift launched in India at Rs 5.59 lakh, competes with the Hyundai Xcent, Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Citroen C3, is available in 6 variants and 6 colours.
The new Tata Punch 2026 facelift has finally been launched in India, with a starting price of Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, it directly competes with Hyundai Xcent (Rs 5.74 Lakh – Rs 9.61 Lakh), Maruti Suzuki Swift (Rs 6.85 Lakh – Rs 11.98 Lakh) and Citroen C3 (Rs 4.95 Lakh – Rs 10.21 Lakh).
The pre-facelift Punch was priced between Rs 5.50 lakh and Rs 9.30 lakh, making the new model costlier by around Rs 9,000. The new turbo-petrol variant is about Rs 40,000 more expensive, although it has more features and a powerful engine.
Its booking has started across the country. The new Tata Punch comes in 6 variants – Smart (New), Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished+. It is available in 6 color options – Daytona Grey, Scientific Blue, Bengal Rouge (Red), Coorg Clouds, Caramel (Yellow) and Pristine White.

The new 2026 Tata Punch facelift now comes with a 1.2 liter turbocharged petrol engine, which is derived from the Nexon. This engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and generates maximum power of 120PS and torque of 170Nm.

Hyundai estimates that the WLTP driving range will be up to 400 km on a single charge. The company aims to unlock the full potential of opportunities in many areas such as jet engines, naval propulsion, land systems and advanced engineering. In an interview to PTI, Rolls-Royce India Executive Vice President Shashi Mukundan said that the company is planning “big investments” in India. He called it a priority to develop next generation aero engines in India, which will power the fighter planes being built under New Delhi's Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme.
Mukundan also said that Rolls-Royce can also make an important contribution in electric propulsion technology to increase the combat capability of the Indian Navy. He suggested that the AMCA engine could be converted into a naval marine engine and could also be used for electric propulsion. He also said that Rolls-Royce is one of the few engine manufacturers in the world that has the capability to “marinize aero engines”.
Preparation for big investment in India Without giving further details, Mukundan said that Rolls-Royce is thinking of making big investments for its expansion in India. He said India has “scale, policy clarity and a strong drive to rapidly scale up a defense and industrial ecosystem” that is constantly evolving and refining.

A major focus of the facelift is the expanded feature set. The Punch will now offer a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, paired with a 7-inch digital driver display. Other notable additions include a 360-degree camera system, hill descent control, automatic climate control, cruise control, 6-speaker audio system, keyless entry with push-button start/stop and a single-pane sunroof.

On the outside, the 2026 Tata Punch facelift features a revised front design with slimmer LED DRLs, a refreshed grille and an updated bumper in line with Tata's new design language. New LED headlights have also been added. While the side profile remains largely unchanged, the SUV now rides on new 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, connected LED taillights and a new bumper give the Punch a more modern look.

Mahindra's XUV 7XO is the new incarnation of the company's XUV 700. The company has launched the facelift model in the market with a new name. Even before this, the brand has done this with some of its cars.
Mahindra & Mahindra has launched XUV 7XO, which is the facelifted version of XUV700. The XUV700 was already a popular SUV, but the XUV 7XO clearly aims to make it more premium, more comfortable and full of technology. After driving for a while, some things became clear, while some things could still have been better. Here we will talk about 3 such features which you will like and also some such features which you will not like.
Features you will like- Mahindra's new DAVINCI suspension system has been given in XUV 7XO. This is the biggest change, which you can feel immediately. The ride of the XUV 7XO is much better than before, especially on bad roads. It handles sharp shocks easily and the hard thump that was felt at low speeds has now reduced. The SUV feels quite stable and quiet on the highway, be it long potholes or rough roads. There is very little bouncing and the car settles down quickly. Despite being a large SUV, it feels comfortable and reliable.
As soon as you step inside, the upgrades in the cabin are clearly visible. The dual-tone interior makes the space feel light and inviting. The quality of the materials is also good, with plenty of soft-touch surfaces. The triple-screen setup (12.3-inch driver display, 12.3-inch central touchscreen and 12.3-inch co-driver touchscreen) completely transforms the dashboard. It looks modern, is full of technology and gives an upmarket feel to the XUV 7XO. The screen is sharp and smooth, which makes the user experience even better.

The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic (182hp and 450Nm) is easy to drive. There is no problem in driving in the city due to low-end torque. You do not need to press the throttle too much. On the highway the SUV feels solid and relaxed, even at high speeds. The gearbox shifts smoothly and remains in the background. With a stable ride, the XUV 7XO proves to be a good companion for long drives.
One of the few things you might not like is that simple things like climate control and front seat ventilation are controlled through the touchscreen. This means more tapping and more time taking your eyes off the road. The glossy touch panel below the air-con vents looks good, but is a bit difficult to use initially. If there were some physical buttons, it would have been easier for everyday use.
It's still not a true third row for adults. It is fine for children and people of short stature can sit for short periods of time. But tall people will feel uncomfortable in long journeys.
The seats are comfortable, there is no doubt about that. But if you are tall then you may feel lack of under-thigh support. It's fine for short drives, but would need a little more support on long journeys.
Mahindra XUV 7XO price starts from Rs 13.66 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.92 lakh (ex-showroom). This is introductory pricing and will be applicable to the first 40,000 customer deliveries.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: 3 features that will make you a fan of this car!
The Hyundai Staria Electric has made its debut in the European market, with the first units expected to arrive in the first half of 2026.

South Korean automaker Hyundai recently expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the debut of the Staria electric MPV at the Brussels Motor Show. Additionally, production of the electric MPV is scheduled for Hyundai's Ulsan plant in Korea, with the first units expected to arrive in the European and Korean markets during the first half of 2026.

The Hyundai Staria Electric is powered by an 84-kWh battery, which sends power to an electric motor producing 214.5 bhp, powering the front wheels. Notably, the Hyundai Staria Electric has the integration of 800V high-voltage architecture, which allows the vehicle to be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes. The 84-kWh battery pack claims a WLTP range of up to 400 km, making it suitable for city and highway use.

According to Hyundai, the Staria Electric will be launched in two configurations to suit different consumer needs. The seven-seat Luxury version is designed for families prioritizing high-level comfort, interior space and leisure activities. For business use or larger groups, a nine-seat wagon version provides a solution for shuttle operations. Beyond passenger transportation, the company further states that the Staria Electric is utilitarian with a 2,000 kg towing capacity and vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, which allows the battery to power external electrical devices.
Interior and cabin space
On the inside, the cabin has been modernized to include a 'Connected Car Navigation Cockpit'. Additionally, the dashboard features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch digital infotainment system. Additionally, Hyundai has included over-the-air (OTA) software update capabilities, allowing remote improvements to navigation and system performance.

Hyundai Staria Electric is expected to be available in eight exterior colors which include Abyss Black Pearl, Creamy White, Classy Blue Pearl, Shimmering Silver Metallic, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, Cast Iron Brown Pearl, Dynamic Yellow and Galaxy Maroon Pearl. The electric MPV will also offer multiple interior color schemes, including black one-tone, black/ecru beige two-tone, black/anthracite brown two-tone, black/Bordeaux brown two-tone and grey/Rotorua cream two-tone.
