1. Most affordable 7-seater in India

With prices starting from Priced at Rs 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom), the Triber is underpowered by every other MPV that offers seven seats. Even the price of the top-spec Emotion trim 8.12 lakh for manual and The AMT is priced at Rs 8.59 lakh, making the model significantly more accessible than rivals.

Despite the budget pricing, the Triber still offers the utility expected from a family MPV, with seating for seven and a removable third row that frees up 625 liters of boot space.

2. Features provide strong value for money

The facelift adds a modern touch without increasing the price. Main attractions include:

  • Redesigned exterior with new LED headlamps
  • Updated interior with dual-tone cabin

The dual-tone paint scheme helps to visually integrate the stepped roofline, making the Triber look more harmonious from the front. The 1.0-litre, 71 bhp petrol engine is adequate only under light load. With more passengers, especially with all seven seats occupied, performance degrades significantly. Overtaking requires planning, and the MPV feels stressed at higher speeds. The situation becomes more pronounced on slopes, full-load driving and highway runs, where the motor's limitations become apparent.

2. Fuel Efficiency

According to HT Auto's recent urban fuel-efficiency test, the test conducted under varying traffic conditions revealed that the Triber AMT performed well:

  • 6km/l in heavy traffic
  • 7 km/l in slow moving traffic
  • 10 km/l in moderate traffic
  • 14 km/l on smooth stretches

This results in an average city mileage of 9.25 kmpl, which is modest for a compact 999cc engine. AMT improves ease of driving but does not provide impressive efficiency in real-world use.

Komaki MX16 Pro: Performance and range

Equipped with a 5kW BLDC hub motor along with a 4.5kWh battery, the MX16 Pro claims a range of 160-220km per charge. Komaki says riders can only travel around 200km 15-20, roughly compared to Rs 700 on petrol two-wheeler for the same distance.

The motor produces 6.7 hp and allows the cruiser to reach a top speed of 80 km/h with the torque tuned for smooth performance in various road conditions.

Komaki MX16 Pro: Safety and ride quality

With the aim of enhancing braking stability, Komaki has equipped the MX16 Pro with a triple disc brake system. According to the company, the wide seating, smooth torque delivery and comfort-focused frame work together to provide a smooth riding experience.

The new Tata Sierra will be launched on 25 November 2025 with petrol, diesel and electric options, which will have triple screen, 6 airbags and many advanced features.

The new Tata Sierra has finally made its official debut and its market launch will be on November 25, 2025. The carmaker has confirmed that this SUV will be offered with petrol, diesel and electric powertrain options.

The petrol range will include new 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5L TGDi engines, while the diesel models will use a 1.5L motor sourced from the Curvv. The powertrain of the Sierra EV will be shared with the Harrier EV, which is currently available with 55kWh and 65kWh battery pack options.

We now have a clear glimpse of the production-ready interior of the upcoming Sierra SUV. It has a triple screen setup that includes a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and a dedicated passenger-side touchscreen. Each unit measures 12.3 inches. The Tata Sierra features a dual-tone cabin theme with a 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo at the centre.

Tata has included many advanced features in the Sierra, which include auto dimming IRVM, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and much more.

In terms of safety, the 2025 Tata Sierra includes 6 airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, tire pressure monitoring system and level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).

The overall design of the new Tata Sierra is completely different from the original Sierra. It now looks more modern and strong, with new front grille, slim and split headlamp setup, short front and rear overhangs, squarish wheel arches, 19-inch alloy wheels, sharp roofline and much more.

Rivals and Expected Price In the midsize SUV segment, the new Sierra will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyrider.

The entry-level petrol version is expected to be priced around Rs 11 lakh, while the top-end ICE trim could be priced around Rs 20 lakh. The price of Tata Sierra EV can be between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

Porsche is preparing to introduce a wireless charging option for the upcoming Cayenne Electric, aiming to eliminate one of the most awkward parts of EV ownership: plugging in. Instead of handling a cable, owners will be able to park on a floor-mounted plate in their garage and let the car do the rest. Here's a clear explanation of how the system works, what makes it different and why it matters.

A wireless setup consists of two main components:

  • A floor plate is installed in a parking lot or garage.
  • A receiver unit is installed behind the front axle of the Cayenne.

The floor plate houses all the necessary electronics in a single box approximately 6 cm high, 78 cm wide and 117 cm long. Unlike previous inductive systems that required additional hardware, such as a wallbox, this plate only requires connection to the household power supply.

Before charging for the first time, the vehicle and the plate perform a one-time digital handshake, exchanging data and passwords via the plate's built-in Wi-Fi. This prevents misuse including attempts at power theft.

How do drivers position the SUV?

To guide the car to the right place, Porsche uses technology similar to its Keyless Go system.

  • On the car display, the receiver's location is shown as a green dot.
  • The charging coil is visible as a green circle in the floor plate.
  • Parking is accurate when the point sits inside the circle.

Even if the alignment is not perfect, the system allows up to 10 cm of misalignment, with the software continuously adjusting the charging parameters to maintain efficiency.

The science behind the “wireless” part

Although the idea is similar to wireless phone charging, the underlying engineering is more complex. The plate uses inductive coupling, where a magnetic field created by a coil in the floor plate induces a voltage in a matching coil on the vehicle.

To make this work at EV-scale power levels, the system converts regular grid electricity into direct current and then transforms it, inside the plate, into high-frequency alternating current of about 85 kHz. This high-frequency signal is what allows useful amounts of energy to efficiently cross the air gap. Continuous software monitoring ensures that even if the coils are not perfectly aligned, the power flow remains stable.

Security systems work in the background

Charging in the air gap requires careful control of heat, magnetic fields, and anything that slides under the vehicle. The receiver is surrounded by shielding to keep magnetic exposure away from the cabin, while ferrite components in the plate and vehicle direct the magnetic field where it is needed.

The plate constantly checks for metal objects, keys, tools and coins that may become hot if left on or near the charging area. It also uses motion detection to keep pets or hands from reaching under the car. If something is detected, the system warns the driver or stops charging immediately. Porsche says the technology also stays well within electromagnetic-compatibility limits to avoid interference with other electronics.

What can owners expect

Day-to-day use is designed to feel “normal” without any cables. Park, confirm alignment on the display, set the parking brake and drive away. Charging times and performance should match what owners already expect from a wired 11 kW home setup.

Porsche is also exploring a future version where the car could park itself on top of the plate and automatically begin charging, taking the driver out of the process entirely.

Official power and torque figures have not been announced yet. However, the turbo-petrol engine is expected to produce 170PS of power and 280Nm of torque. The diesel version is likely to have a 1.5L turbo engine. Transmission options will include 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) automatic units.

The Kawasaki Z1100 continues the bold and muscular aesthetic that defined its predecessor. With twin-pod LED headlamps, a sculpted fuel tank and a sharply contoured tail, the motorcycle maintains its hunter-like stance. The familiar Sugomi design language gives the Z1100 a distinctive, ready-to-pounce look that is synonymous with Kawasaki's naked lineup.
