No need of petrol, no hassle of charging! In which car did Union Minister Prahlad Joshi reach Parliament? Know complete details

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi reached Parliament in a hydrogen fuel powered Toyota Mirai car, which was launched under the National Green Hydrogen Mission and gives zero emissions. This car is better than petrol cars in many respects and in terms of refueling it is even better than EV because it takes only 5-7 minutes to refill and it comes with zero noise and zero emissions.

New Delhi. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi reached Parliament on Thursday driving a hydrogen-powered car and attracted everyone's attention. The question in everyone's mind was which car was this? If you also have this question in your mind, then let us tell you that this car was a hydrogen fuel powered Toyota Mirai. Talking to the media, he said that an MoU has been signed between Toyota Kirloskar and National Institute of Solar Energy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Mirai means 'future'
He said, “This car is a hydrogen car. National Green Hydrogen Mission was started in India under the leadership of PM Modi. Today MoU has been signed between Toyota Kirloskar and our National Institute of Solar Energy.” Apart from this, talking about this hydrogen-powered vehicle, which releases only water steam, he told that its name is 'Mirai', which means 'future'.

hydrogen fuel cell tech
This car works on hydrogen fuel cell tech which makes it a better option than traditional ICE engine cars. With this technology, this car achieves zero emissions i.e. it is completely eco-friendly.

How does fuel cell technology work?

  • Hydrogen Intake: Hydrogen gas is taken from pressurized tanks.
  • Fuel cell reaction: Inside the fuel cell stack, hydrogen combines with oxygen in the air.
  • Power Production: This process produces electricity, which is used to run an electric motor and charge a small battery.
  • Zero Emission: Its only by-product is pure water vapor.

Features and Performance

  • Powertrain: Rear electric motor (about 182 horsepower).
  • Range: Excellent range according to the EPA, often over 400 miles (e.g. 402 miles for the XLE).
  • Refueling: It takes about 5 minutes to completely fill the tank.
  • Driving Experience: Smooth, quiet and like a premium sedan or battery EV, with good acceleration.
  • Technology: Comes with advanced driver-assistance systems (like Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, Lane Tracing Assist).

Why is petrol better than cars?
This car is better than petrol cars in many respects. In terms of refueling, it is even better than EV because it takes only 5-7 minutes to refill it. This means that like petrol cars, it can be refueled quickly. These days, pollution has become a big problem across the country. In such a situation, this car with zero emissions is a great option.

Came later and became dominant, VinFast defeated Tesla in EV sales, sold a lot of cars in November

Came later and became dominant, VinFast defeated Tesla in EV sales, sold a lot of cars in November

VinFast Overtakes Tesla In November Sales: VinFast overtook Tesla by selling 291 electric vehicles in India in November 2025, while Tata Motors remained the market leader with 6153 units. VF6 and VF7 are continuously attracting buyers due to their low prices. In the coming time, the company is also going to bring some new models in India.

New Delhi. Vietnam's electric vehicle manufacturer Vinfast has registered a tremendous jump in retail sales in India in November 2025 and has left Tesla behind by a huge margin. According to the latest data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), the total sales of both the brands are still low, but this month's figures show how fast VinFast has gained hold in the Indian market after its entry. VinFast had entered India after Tesla and managed to make its place among the buyers in a short time.

november sale
According to FADA's retail report, Vinfast sold 291 electric vehicles in November, while Tesla sold only 48 units. This performance is a big leap for the Vietnamese company, which had sold 131 units in October. With over 122% month-on-month sales growth, VinFast has become one of the most talked-about new brands in the country's fast-growing electric mobility segment.

48 units of Tesla sold
At the same time, Tesla's growth remained slow. Its sales increased from 40 units in October to 48 units in November, i.e. an increase of 20 percent month-on-month. Although the brand identity of the American company is strong in India, the pace of its retail sales has been slow till now. Despite this advance of VinFast, Tata Motors maintained its dominance in the electric vehicle market. The domestic company sold 6,153 electric vehicles in November, further strengthening its market leadership. Tata's dealerships across the country and its large range of electric vehicles are the reasons for its strength.

Why is Vinfast growing?
Industry experts believe that VinFast's price and product strategy have been the key factors behind its strong sales. VinFast began local assembly in India in September and launched two models—VF6 and VF7—which were priced at Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 20.89 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The company's decision to assemble the vehicles locally kept prices competitive and placed both models in the high-demand mass EV segment.

tesla price
At the same time, Tesla's offering in India is limited only to the fully imported Model Y, whose starting price is Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Due to its premium positioning and higher price, it attracts fewer customers than Vinfast's more accessible models.

New Delhi. The second generation Kia Seltos has made its global debut, in which its exterior and interior have been completely redesigned and some new features have also been added. Its rivals include the recently launched Tata Sierra, which revives an iconic name and offers the latest innovations. So, which one is better in terms of features in the top trim of these two midsize SUVs? Let us know.

Kia Seltos Vs Tata Sierra: Features
Both midsize SUVs get an all-LED lighting setup, but the Sierra gets rear fog lamps and puddle lamps on all doors, which are missing from the next-generation Seltos. Apart from this, the Seltos comes with smaller 18-inch rims, while the Sierra gets larger 19-inch rims. However, the outside rearview mirror (ORVM) in Kia is synchronized with the memory function of the driver's seat. Whereas in Sierra, memory function is available only for the driver seat.

Kia Seltos Vs Tata Sierra: Dashboard
Both models get a triple-screen setup with a 12.3-inch infotainment system. However, the Sierra gets a 12.3-inch passenger display, while the Seltos, like the Kia Sciros and EV9, gets a 5-inch climate control screen between the infotainment screen and the 12.3-inch driver display. The Sierra's instrumentation panel is slightly smaller, at 10.25-inches. The new Seltos also has a head-up display (HUD), which is available in the Sierra only in its lower trims. Kia gets more adjustment settings for the driver's seat, but it does not have an air purifier and a cooled glove box. Talking about the audio system, the Sierra's system, at least on paper, is better with more speakers.

New Kia Seltos vs Tata Sierra: Which SUV to choose?
The prices of the top-spec variants of the new Kia Seltos and Tata Sierra have not been revealed yet and will play a key role in deciding which midsize SUV is the better option. Although both have a long list of features, the Sierra gets a slight advantage with a passenger display, more speakers, a cooled glove box and an air purifier, which makes it look more attractive. The Seltos has more seat adjustment, but even the Sierra doesn't completely miss it, which doesn't make much of a difference in everyday use. So, until the prices are revealed, the Sierra has a slight edge over the Seltos on paper.

The hero has arrived and dominated! Ola also got washed away, Vida brand sold 1 lakh electric scooters

The hero has arrived and dominated! Ola also got washed away, Vida brand sold 1 lakh electric scooters

New Delhi. For the first time since entering the electric two-wheeler market three years ago, Hero MotorCorp's Vida brand has crossed the sales mark of 1 lakh units in a calendar year. According to the latest retail sales data available on the Vahan portal, a total of 1,00,383 Vida e-scooters were delivered to customers between January 1 and December 5. Moreover, the total sales of Vida e-scooter have crossed 1.50 lakh units since the brand launch in October 2022.

8% market share
Hero's electric sales journey so far: Currently, Vida has 8 percent market share. 2025 got off to a slow start, with only 1,626 units sold in January. But monthly sales remained more than 6,000 units for four consecutive months from March to June. In July, sales crossed 10,000 units for the first time (10,548 units), and Vida maintained this pace for the next five months.

Highest Monthly Sale
In October 2025, Vida recorded its highest monthly sales in the domestic market with 16,017 units. This impressive performance was also reflected in VIDA's manufacturers rankings: from seventh in January to sixth in February and fifth in March, which it maintained through October. Last month, Vida secured the fourth position, leaving behind Ola Electric.

Battery-as-a-Service Model
VX2 drives Vida's growth, benefiting from low price and battery-as-a-service model and the launch of the family-centric VX2 in July 2025. The company also has a sporty looking V2 in its portfolio. The VX2 and V2 are almost identical in terms of battery, motor and other mechanical parts, but there are two main differences.

left Ola behind
First, the design of VX2 is similar to the traditional family scooters sold in India. Second and most importantly, its purchase price is already quite aggressive, but when purchased through the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, this price becomes even lower. Due to this, Vida's growth accelerated in the second half of the year and in terms of monthly sales, the company easily left behind the continuously falling Ola Electric.

Buy a car in December due to discount or wait, clear your confusion!

Buy a car in December due to discount or wait, clear your confusion!

New Delhi. In December, many car manufacturing companies offer great discounts and other benefits on their remaining stock. But still many buyers avoid buying a new car this month. Why does this happen? And can you buy your car in December? Best Deals: Usually in December, many dealers and brands offer attractive deals and discounts on their models. Many best-selling models also see big price cuts this month. For example, MG has introduced 'Midnight Carnival', in which discounts, benefits and gifts are being given on every model. Apart from this, many brands attract buyers by giving 'year end' discounts on their car models, and these benefits are limited to this month only. Seeing such deals, any person who is thinking of buying a new car in the coming months can book the car immediately so that he can get great benefits. But still many people avoid buying a new car in December. Why?

resale value
Nowadays, most buyers definitely look at the resale value of a car before buying it. Now, buying a car this month reduces the value of the model a little more. Only model year 2025 will be written in your RC, even if it is of December. Apart from this, manufacturing companies stop the production of some models in the last months of the year so that there is no stock left for the next year. So if you buy a new car and take delivery this month, you may get a lower value due to the manufacturing year. Also, you may get a car that was manufactured a few months ago because the manufacturer may have stopped production for some time and has not shipped new stock.

Is it beneficial to wait?
Now, after reading all this, many people may postpone the plan of buying a car this month and wait for the new stock in January 2026. But if we say that there is harm in waiting? Yes, at the beginning of the new year, car manufacturing companies increase the prices of their cars. So by waiting, not only will you lose deals, but you may also have to pay more than the old price.

Confusion in taking decision?
If you are thinking of keeping the vehicle for a long time, i.e. 5-6 years or more, then you can buy the car this month. If you're unsure how long you'll keep the car, you may want to take the time to consider whether last year's manufacturing might hurt resale value down the road. If you don't care much about last year's manufacturing, then you can easily book your model and get better discounts.

unsold inventory
There are some people who are in a dilemma whether to buy a car this year or not. For them, if they miss the time to book the model this year, they can still get a car of last year's manufacture next year. For example, MY2025 car models may get better and more benefits next year compared to MY2026 models. The reason for this is the unsold inventory of the dealers, which they focus on clearing.

Kia Seltos will get the biggest update ever, new model will be launched tomorrow

New Delhi. Kia is going to make the global debut of its next generation Seltos tomorrow, during which we will get a glimpse of the biggest change of this SUV for the first time. The new Kia Seltos will arrive in India in early 2026, with a completely new design, larger dimensions, a new cabin and for the first time, a strong hybrid powertrain. The teaser shows a major change in the styling of the Seltos, with a more upright and muscular look that reflects Kia's 'Opposites United' philosophy. At the front, there is a wide digital tiger face grille, which is now combined with sharp, vertical LED DRLs and C-shaped lighting elements. The futuristic star map LED signature connects the front and rear, where the full-length light bar, like the Kia Carens Clavis, adds visual sophistication. The flush door handles, blacked-out pillars, redesigned alloy wheels and the panoramic sunroof take it into a more premium segment. Kia has also introduced a welcome lighting animation that plays on the DRLs and headlamps as soon as you unlock.

interior changes
On the inside, the new generation Seltos has a clean and modern layout, with a twin-display setup with a 12.3-inch screen for the infotainment and instrument cluster. The gently curved panel and new 3-spoke steering wheel give the SUV a premium feel. The GT Line variant gets dual-tone black-and-cream theme, brushed-metal pedals and wide ambient light strips.

Kia has retained the physical buttons required for climate and core functions, to maintain usability in the digital cabin. The redesigned center console features a compact gear selector, repositioned drive mode controls and a retractable cupholder cover. The slim AC vents fit well into the layered dashboard and the storage space in the cabin has been optimized. Apart from this, panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless charging, boss mode and premium audio system are included.

Strong Hybrid Powertrain
Talking about engines, the new Seltos will continue to be available with 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The biggest update is the stronger hybrid powertrain, in which a 1.5-litre petrol engine will be combined with an electric motor. This focuses on efficiency and pits the SUV against hybrid rivals like the Toyota Highrider and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

VIDEO: Sierra's turbo petrol engine shows its 'fierce' form! Car ran at a speed of 222 kmph in top speed test, created a new record

New Delhi. Tata has created a stir in the market by launching Sierra SUV on 25th November. Recently the company has also declared the prices of all its variants. Now, Tata Motors has achieved a major feat with its new Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which has been introduced in the high-spec variants of the new Tata Sierra. During the high-speed test at the NATRAX proving track in Indore, the Sierra equipped with this engine achieved a top speed of 222 km/h. This achievement not only makes it the fastest Sierra ever, but also makes it the fastest SUV in its segment, meaning Tata is the best option in the segment not only in terms of mileage but also in terms of performance. Which reveals Tata's performance and engineering capabilities.

Powerful Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine

The Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine is exclusively paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and is available only in the Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+ variants of the new Tata Sierra. The price of this powertrain starts from Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Sierra: Design

If we talk about the design of Tata Sierra, its boxy look is inspired by the old model, but it has many elements which give it modern appeal. The SUV has an upright stance and makes ample use of gloss-black panels that house the LED headlights and DRLs along with the brand's logo and “Sierra” lettering. MG Hector is going to get its biggest update till date, teaser revealed for the first time

New Delhi. MG Motor India has released the first teaser of its upcoming Hector facelift, which shows that this SUV is going to come with many major changes. Released with the tagline “It's been a long time. Get ready to be shocked”, this teaser gives a glimpse of the new design and the brand's new strategy for the Indian market. This is the first major update of Hector, which is coming after the partnership between MG and JSW. According to initial reports, the company is preparing to launch a more premium, feature-rich and technology-focused version of its flagship ICE SUV.

Awaiting details
Although most of the details of MG Hector facelift have been hidden in the teaser video, many important changes have been revealed from the pictures of the SUV seen during testing. In the spy images, the facelifted MG Hector has been seen testing on the highway, and what catches the most attention is its unique cover. Usually companies use heavy camouflage, but MG has used a green mesh tarpaulin tied with plastic ropes on the body of the SUV. This unique approach makes the test mule easily recognizable, but keeps the fine styling elements of the SUV hidden.

Expecting new exterior
A new exterior can be seen in the 2026 MG Hector, in which the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, which will make the SUV look more modern and powerful. The new front grille is also included in the visual update, while new 19-inch alloy wheels can also be seen. Despite these changes, MG has retained the SUV's signature LED DRLs and headlamp layout. No major changes have been made in the overall sheet metal and silhouette of the SUV, which clearly shows that this facelift is more focused on cosmetic changes and not on structural changes.

new alloy wheels
Many other changes are also seen in the video. The first thing that catches the eye are the new alloy wheels, whose design is completely different from before, but the five-spoke layout remains intact. At the end of the video, the rear bumper is seen, in which a new skid plate has been given, which gives a sporty look to the SUV. Mild changes are also expected at the tailgate, although the side profile of the SUV remains almost the same and most of the sheet metal is taken from the existing Hector.

technical upgrade
Along with the external changes, many new features in terms of interior and technology can also be found in the 2026 MG Hector facelift. Ventilated seats can be provided for both front and rear passengers, which will increase the comfort level. The SUV can also get upgraded connected car technology, smoother and intuitive user interface and better ADAS features. All these changes have been designed to make Hector more premium and according to the changing needs of customers in the mid-size SUV segment.

Engine and Transmission
There will be no changes in terms of engine and transmission in the facelifted MG Hector. As before, it will have options of 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (141 hp and 250Nm) and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine (167 hp and 350Nm torque).

Convoys usually consist of armored vehicles, and support cars such as Fortuner and Innova are added for operational flexibility. Both the leaders reached the Prime Minister's residence for a private dinner in the same car. But what caught most attention was that PM Modi chose a white Toyota Fortuner for this journey instead of his usually used Range Rover.

Why did Modi-Putin ride in Toyota Fortuner?
Although, no official reason for this has been revealed, but many theories have emerged regarding why the Japanese brand car was chosen, when the whole world was keeping an eye on this car diplomacy. Additionally, the Fortuner Sigma 4 (MT) had a Maharashtra number plate. This Maruti car used to compete not only with Mercedes but even Ferrari in India, then why did it say 'goodbye' to the market?

This Maruti car used to compete not only with Mercedes but even Ferrari in India, then why did it say 'goodbye' to the market?

New Delhi. Everyone knows that from the late 2000s to the early 2010s, there was the era of luxury sedans. This was the golden era of sedan cars, in which customers had a plethora of premium options like the Chevrolet Cruze, Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic, Skoda Laura and Toyota Corolla Altis. The public liked all these cars very much and their sales were also excellent. If you were to go up a price bracket, you would get the Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class or Audi A3. This was the time when you could buy a luxury German sedan for Rs 30-35 lakh.

Kishaji came in 2011
Maruti Suzuki also wanted to make its place in this segment. Being India's leading manufacturing company, Maruti decided to do something new. Maruti launched Kizashi through the CBU route in 2011, which was a big step. Interestingly, it was discontinued after just 3 years. Kizashi had once set a land-speed record of 327 km/h. Today we will try to understand why Kizashi disappeared.

Why did Kizashi disappear?
You will be surprised to know that one of the most beautiful cars of the last decade was Maruti. Its sleek body and 17 inch alloy wheels give it a very attractive look. The difference between Kizashi and the rest of Maruti's range was stark. At that time, if there was no badge then no one could have recognized that it was a Maruti.

What did Kizashi look like?
Dual chrome exhaust tips are available at the rear and the boot lid has been designed like a lip spoiler to give it a sporty look. The proportions of the car are such that you get a long wheelbase of 2.7 metres, but it doesn't look awkward. Cars of the 2010s had not yet shifted from halogen to LED lights, and the same is seen in the Kizashi. There is some similarity with the SX4, but this is not a negative point. It doesn't have any special aesthetic features, but its simple and smooth design gives it that sophisticated look that people want while buying a sedan.

Strong Rose Presence
It was the perfect blend of sporty and elegant, giving it a strong road presence. In the crowd of SUVs and hatchbacks, Kizashi stood out due to its beauty. Most of the premium sedans of that era looked very beautiful. Design engineers had to work wonders to design better than German and Japanese cars, and they were successful to a great extent.

interior
If you go inside, Kizashi starts showing its age. It has a traditional speedometer, small TFT driver display, radio system and a lot of physical buttons like the cars of the early 2010s. The feature list is also decent, which includes 6 airbags, push-button start, 10-way power adjust, 3 memory settings on the driver seat, rear armrest and leather seats. There was only one trim option, so all these features were standard.

Excellent build quality
The special thing is that its build quality is excellent, which was much better than other Maruti cars of that time. The dual-tone interiors and soft-touch materials give it a premium feel, and the heavy doors are a sign of its strong build quality. The cabin is also quite spacious, with ample legroom and headroom for the rear passengers.

Engine and Power
Kizashi has a 2.4L VVT petrol engine, which generates approximately 180 horsepower and 230 Nm torque. These figures are quite impressive, and since it is a naturally aspirated engine, the driving fun is doubled. Gearbox options included 6-speed manual and CVT. The global variant also had an AWD option, but it was not practical for the Indian market.

If you're lucky, it's like this! Years ago a person bought a car for Rs 13 thousand, now the price has become Rs 11 crore.

New Delhi. Everyone wants that their money should double and triple with time, in this hope people invest in the stock market. But, this does not happen often. But now a very interesting story of a person has come to light whose small investment multiplied thousands of times. And let us tell you that this is not a stock. Rather it is a car. Yes! You read it absolutely right. According to a BBC report, a car which was purchased by a person named John Williams in the year 1971. At that time, he had spent only 985 pounds (about Rs 13,000 at that time) for this car. Now the price of this car has reached 10 lakh pounds i.e. around Rs 11 crore as of today. Now you can understand that hardly any stock can give such tremendous returns. And a car increases your expenses with time. But John's story tells something else. Read further this interesting heart touching story of John Williams and his wife Suzanne.

James Bond-Style Aston Martin DB5
The car that John bought was not an ordinary car. In fact, it was a 1960s James Bond-style Aston Martin DB5, which had fallen into such disrepair that the children played on it, forcing John and his family to scold the children and drive them away. John Williams, 71, of Mold, Flintshire, bought this car second hand in 1973 for £ 985, which is equivalent to about £ 15,000 today.

The car kept rusting for years

Price increased to 10 lakh pounds after restoration
Now it has been completely restored and its price is now 1 million pounds. He drove the car, made famous in the films Goldfinger and Thunderball, for the last time in his 20s, then left it in his driveway, where it rusted for years.

Money collected for many years for restoration
Mr Williams saved £400,000 by undertaking a three-year restoration at Aston Martin's Buckinghamshire workshop, where experts had to remove a rat's nest and spend 2,500 hours laboring before the restoration could begin. Williams fell in love with Aston Martin when he received a toy car at the age of eight, and by the age of 19 he had saved up enough money to buy one after seeing advertisements in motoring magazines.

This car was lying in storage since the 70s
But when he got a job in the Middle East in the late 1970s, the DB5 was put into storage, and then parked outside the house – and became a plaything for local children. His wife Suzanne said, “The neighborhood children used to jump on the bonnet and we used to scold them.” “Then there was a kid jumping on the roof, wondering 'Does this work?' Because he had seen a Bond movie and thought the car would lift up.” Only 1,022 DB5s were built between 1963 and 1965, which gained immense popularity after James Bond (played by Sean Connery) drove one, which also featured ejector seats and rotating number plates.

Aston Martin Works restored it in 2500 hours.

Only 39 such cars in the world
The silver birch gray DB5 Vantage that Mr Williams owns is one of only 39 such cars in the world. Even when the car was rusting outside their house and undriveable, Aston Martin valued it at £500,000, leading the couple to consider selling it. And he had no dearth of offers either.

“The question of money comes up, and so does reality,” Susan said, “and sitting at the kitchen table, he asked, 'What do you think?'”

“I said, 'You'll never get a car like that again.'”

“So they said, 'No, we'll keep it.'”

2500 hours of hard work
The decision was made, and he described how he 'saved and sacrificed' for a three-year restoration. After removing the rat's nest, technicians spent 2,500 hours replacing parts and restoring many features, including the original paint. Mr. and Mrs. Williams visited the workshop regularly to see the progress of the work. Now that the work is complete, the carmaker estimates it to be worth £1 million.

John Williams and Suzanne

The car is very special
'It's a special feeling just to be in possession of this car' Steve Waddingham, Aston Martin historian, said: “It might have been easier to build a new car, but it took a lot of skill and patience to repair and replace such a heavily rusted car.” But he said that the hard work is indeed worth appreciating, “Just being near this car is a special feeling – its smell, its feel, its sound.”

Better than new after restoration
“They are so special and you can't get those famous movie scenes out of your mind.” After driving the car for the first time in 45 years, John said, “This car is probably better now than when it came out of the factory.” “It was really surprising. I wish they could do the same to me to make me look 27 again. Today I feel 27.”

'I will always keep this car.'
Susan had previously only sat in the car when it was being towed out of storage. He enjoyed his first proper ride with John, saying, “It sounded fantastic and as we were going a little faster I thought, 'Yeah, go a little faster. Let's see what it can do.'” Although John has achieved his life's dream, he said he won't be driving the car too much, “You can't take it everywhere or leave it anywhere. The weather also has an impact. I don't want to take it through big water holes, and I've neglected it once. Won't do that again.”
