Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard: Price and features

The Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard is part of the official fleet of the Prime Minister in India, which was inducted by the Special Protection Group (SPG) in 2021. Earlier the PM used to use Range Rover Vogue and Toyota Land Cruiser, but now this armored limousine is setting a new standard for his safety and comfort.

There is no major change in the side profile. The squared wheel arches, thick body cladding and high ground clearance (193 mm) remain intact, making it off-road capable. Connected LED tail lamps have been provided in the rear, which are inspired by models like Nexon and Harrier.

The base variant has 15-inch steel wheels, while the higher variants get 16-inch alloy wheels. Talking about dimensions, its length is 3827 mm, width is 1742 mm, height is 1615 mm and wheelbase is 2445 mm. Available colors include Scientific Blue, Caramel, Bengal Rouge, Coorg Clouds, Daytona Gray and Pristine White.

Interior and Features

The cabin of the base variant is simple and comfortable. There is a dual-tone blue and gray dashboard, which gives a clean look. A corporate steering wheel is provided, but mounted controls are in higher variants. The seats come with new upholstery, but extended thigh support will be available only in higher trims. Driver seat height is also not adjustable in the base.

Boot space is 366 litres, which is quite good in its class. There is no big infotainment screen. It has been introduced with basic audio system. The Smart variant has the basics like city and eco drive modes, remote keyless entry. There is no advanced infotainment or wireless charging.

There has been no reduction in safety. It has 6 airbags as standard, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS), ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts. It has a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, which is much better in the segment.

Engine Specifications

The base variant of Punch can be purchased with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It is capable of delivering 88 PS power and 115 Nm torque. Transmission option is 5-speed manual, turbo or AMT is not available in the base. This engine is sufficient for city and highway driving. ARAI claimed mileage is 20.09 KMPL.

Kia Sciros is at third place in terms of sales. It has got 1,116 new customers last month. This figure represents almost double the monthly increase compared to the total 554 units sold in November 2025.

There has been a huge increase in the sales of Sonet. Last month, this small SUV got a total of 9,418 customers. This figure represents a spectacular increase of 182 percent year-on-year compared to the total 3,337 units sold in December 2024.

Kia Carnival

The next number is Kia Carnival, it got the least number of customers. Only 75 units were sold in December 2025. This figure represents a 27 percent year-on-year decline compared to the total 103 Carnivals sold in December 2024. Apart from this, Kia EV6 and EV9 did not find a single customer last month.

Maruti e Vitara Launch Date: Maruti Suzuki will soon launch e Vitara electric SUV in India, which will be available on Nexa network. It has BYD battery, 543 km range, Level 2 ADAS and five star rating in Bharat NCAP. In India, it will compete with MG Windsor and Tata Nexon EV which are currently the bestselling electric cars in India.

Maruti Suzuki is going to enter the electric SUV segment in India with its new electric SUV e Vitara. This midsize electric SUV will be sold only through the Nexa retail network. It will compete with Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, MG ZS EV, Tata Curve EV and other vehicles in the country's fastest growing EV segment. Its starting price is expected to be a little more than Rs 17 lakh ex-showroom.

Interestingly, the journey of e Vitara has started even before its domestic launch. It is being produced on a large scale at Maruti Suzuki's Gujarat plant and the units manufactured here are being exported to many foreign markets.

Along with product development, the company has also prepared its long-term EV ecosystem strategy, in which it has promised to install more than one lakh public charging points across the country by the end of this decade.

e Vitara is built on Maruti's special Heartect-e skateboard platform. Its length is 4,275 mm, width is 1,800 mm and height is about 1,640 mm, while the wheelbase is 2,700 mm. Ground clearance without load is expected to be around 185 mm. Two LFP battery packs taken from BYD have been used in it.

A 144 PS electric motor is available with a small 48.8 kWh battery, which generates 192.5 Nm torque. At the same time, with a larger 61.1 kWh battery, power of 174 PS is available, in which the torque remains the same.

Both variants have DC fast charging support, due to which the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 50 minutes. With the large battery, a claimed driving range of up to 543 km on a single charge is claimed.

Talking about the features, it will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will have features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, powered front seats, automatic climate control, 360 degree camera and connected car technology. Level 2 ADAS will also be available, which will have features like adaptive cruise control.

This five seater SUV has achieved five star rating in Bharat NCAP. It has got 31.49 out of 32 marks for adult safety and 43 out of 49 marks for child safety. Standard safety features include seven airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX mounts. It will be available in a total of 11 paint schemes, which include Land Breeze Green with BH Black Roof, Splendid Silver with BH Black Roof, Opulent Red with BH Black Roof, Arctic White with BH Black Roof, Nexa Blue, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Opulent Red, BH Black and Land Breeze Green.

The new Duster will get newly designed headlamps, which will have eyebrow shaped LED DRLs, new grille with three air intakes at the bottom, roof rails and connected tail lamps.

The spy image shows a camera module on the front, which hints at the presence of a 360-degree camera. The special thing is that a radar sensor for ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System) has also been seen on the windscreen, making it the first Renault car to offer ADAS feature in India.

In terms of safety, the new Duster will have features like six airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat anchors and ABS with EBD.

The new 2026 Renault Duster will get many premium features, including panoramic sunroof (in higher variants), 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital driver display, ambient lighting, 6-speaker Arkamis sound system, wireless phone charger, powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, premium audio system, cruise control, push button start with keyless entry. And there's a lot more involved.

Official information about the engine may be revealed at the time of debut. However, it is expected that the new Duster will get a 1.3 liter turbo petrol mild hybrid engine, which will give a power of 156 bhp, along with the option of 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine. The option of a strong hybrid powertrain can also be added to it a few months after launch.

New Delhi. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is going to launch its first electric car in India – Toyota Urban Cruiser EV. This electric midsize SUV will be available for sale tomorrow i.e. on January 20, 2026 with the official price. It is believed that the price of the initial variant of this EV will be around Rs 19 lakh, in which a smaller battery pack will be available. At the same time, the price of the top variant with a bigger battery pack can go up to Rs 25 lakh. The new Toyota EV will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curve EV, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti E Vitara.

Battery options and range
The Urban Cruiser EV is actually a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara, which is going to hit the showrooms soon. Like its donor model, this new Toyota EV can get 49kWh and 61kWh battery pack options, which will come with a front-axle mounted electric motor. Although official performance figures have not been revealed yet, it is expected that the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will offer a driving range of more than 540 kilometers on a single charge.

ADAS and other features
In terms of safety, the new Toyota electric SUV will be at par with the E Vitara, which has received a 5-star BNCAP (India New Car Assessment Programme) safety rating. Its safety features will include Level 2 ADAS (Autonomous Driving Assistance System), front and rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, traction control, 360-degree camera and seven airbags.

Its cabin layout will be largely similar to the E Vitara. Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will have a dual screen setup, which will have a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver display. New Delhi. JSW Group's new passenger car company, JSW Motors Limited, will launch its first model in June, according to a latest report by Moneycontrol. This model will be a plug-in hybrid SUV, which is expected to be priced around Rs 45 lakh. The first JSW model will be a rebadged version of the D-segment SUV T2 from Chinese company Chery's Jetour brand, Autocor India said in a separate report. The Jettur T2 has a length of 4,785 mm, width of 2,006 mm, height of 1,875 mm and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.

The Jet Tour T2 is marketed as an off-road SUV and its design follows suit. This means that JSW can launch this rebadged version in India against Toyota Fortuner. T2 has a ground clearance of 205 mm, approach angle of 28 degrees, departure angle of 30 degrees and water wading depth of 700 mm.

Jetour: T2 Plug-in Hybrid
In China, the Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid is sold in three variants. The base variant has a 1.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 115 kW (154 hp) and 220 Nm torque. It has two motors, which together generate power of 165 kW (221 HP) and torque of 390 Nm. It has a 27.2 kWh LFP battery pack made by Gaotian Hi-Tech, which gives a pure electric range of 100 kilometers as per WLTC.

Range and performance
The middle variant has the same powertrain, but has a 43.24 kWh LFP battery pack made by CATL, taking the WLTC electric range to 162 km. The top variant also has the same 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine, but it has three electric motors, which together give a power of 340 kW (456 hp) and torque of 700 Nm. It also has a 43.24 kWh LFP battery pack and according to WLTC it can run up to 160 kilometers in EV mode.

Base variant will be launched in India
JSW can offer only the base variant in India. The company will import knocked-down kits of the T2 plug-in hybrid from Jetur's plant in Fuzhou (Fujian Province), China and assemble them at its factory in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Maharashtra). With a launch scheduled for June, the company is expected to release first details of the SUV in April.

The company has so far sold more than 200 electric vehicles in 2026 and it is expected that these figures may increase significantly with the launch of three new products.

Vinfast's 3-row electric MPV Limo Green is set to hit showrooms in February, while the names of the remaining two new models have not been officially announced yet. According to media reports, Vinfast will launch VF3 two-door micro EV and VF5 sub-compact EV. While the VF3 will compete with the MG Comet EV, the VF5 will directly compete with the Tata Punch EV.

Three driving modes are available in Limo Green – Eco, Comfort and Sport. The same powertrain is likely to be given in the models coming to India also.

WinFast VF3
The VF3 will sit below the VF6 in the company's Indian product portfolio and will be positioned as an affordable urban electric commuter, with an estimated price between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. The VF3 has an 18.64kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery, which is paired with an electric motor, which gives a power of 44bhp. This compact EV gives a range of about 210 km on a single charge.

Winfast VF5
VinFast VF5 is available globally with two battery pack options – 29.6kWh and 37.23kWh – depending on the market. A 95bhp front-axle mounted motor is available with a small battery, which gives a range of 268 km (NEDC). At the same time, a 136bhp front-axle mounted motor is available with a large 37.23kWh battery pack, which gives a driving range of 326 km on full charge.

New Delhi. Bajaj Auto has increased the prices of select Pulsar models, ranging from Rs 461 to Rs 1,460. These changes have been implemented recently and affect most of the models in the Pulsar range. This change is also important because the Pulsar lineup is Bajaj's best-selling bike in the internal combustion engine (ICE) segment, accounting for about 60 percent of the company's monthly sales. In the entry-level Pulsar 125 series, the price of Neon single seat variant is now Rs 79,939, which was earlier Rs 79,048. The price of carbon fiber single seat has become Rs 86,411, which was earlier Rs 85,633, while the price of carbon fiber split seat has become Rs 88,547, which was earlier Rs 87,527.

No change in price of Pulsar N125
The price of Pulsar N125 remains the same as before. However, the price of NS125 has increased: the base variant is now Rs 92,642 (previously Rs 91,182), the LED BT variant is now Rs 94,253 (previously Rs 93,792) and the LED BT ABS variant is now Rs 98,955 (previously Rs 98,400). Prices of Pulsar 150 single-disc and twin-disc variants remain stable at Rs 1,11,669 and Rs 1,15,481 respectively.

The price of Pulsar N160 Single Seat with Twin Disc has now become Rs 1,13,835 (earlier Rs 1,13,133). The prices of other N160 variants like Dual Channel ABS, Single Seat with USD and Dual Channel ABS with USD remain at Rs 1,16,773, Rs 1,23,983 and Rs 1,26,290 respectively.

New Delhi. With the launch of the all-new version of the 2026 Tata Punch, this micro-SUV has now moved towards the premium segment. It has included a new design, upgraded cabin, long feature list and most importantly, the option of turbo-petrol engine, which has further increased the popularity of Punch. However, amidst all these changes, a question arises that will Tata Motors ever offer Punch with a diesel engine? Come, let us find the answer to this question.

This question is not unnecessary. Tata has shown in the past that diesel engines can perform well in compact cars. For example, the Altroz still comes with a diesel option and is considered to be the best powertrain in its segment. Altroz and Punch are almost the same size and both have the same engineering platform.

Price will increase with diesel engine
Speaking to Auto Today, Mohan Savarkar, Chief Product Officer, Tata Motors, said that powertrain decisions are based on larger market realities. According to him, after the implementation of BS6 emission norms, the trend of diesel engines in small cars has decreased rapidly. According to BS6 Phase 2 regulations, the cost of diesel engines increases significantly, especially in segments where price matters a lot. Savarkar said that it is technically possible to make a diesel Punch, but this will take the price of the vehicle to a level which is higher than the expectations of customers buying micro-SUVs. He said, “The customers who buy Punch will find this price a little higher.” For this reason, Tata has not currently chosen the diesel option for Punch.

Petrol and CNG option
Instead, Tata has focused on petrol and CNG powertrains to increase the popularity of Punch. The biggest change in this is the new 1.2-litre iTurbo Revotron engine, which produces 120bhp and 170Nm power and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This setup accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 11.1 seconds and is aimed at customers who want more power but do not want to buy a big SUV.

Twin-cylinder CNG setup
Like before, Punch also has naturally aspirated petrol engine and CNG option, which is now available with AMT. This is India's first SUV to have a twin-cylinder CNG setup and automatic gearbox. Currently, Tata Motors believes that these petrol and CNG options cater to both performance-seeking and budget-conscious customers. Although the idea of Diesel Punch sounds good on paper, it is unlikely to become a reality any time soon due to current regulations and pricing.

Top-spec models with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre engines can get Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.
