Based on the year on year, sales increased by 0.49%, which is slightly more than 29,159 units sold in July 2025. The company exported 4,934 units last month.

January to August sale
Between January and August 2025, TKM sold a total of 2,41,696 units, which is a solid growth of 13.59% compared to 2,12,785 units sold in the same period of 2024. These figures reflect Toyota's stable growth in India's competitive automotive market.

Make in India

The main things of August 2025 were the month of August for Toyota, both corporate and product on the fronts in India. EX30 Volvo will have the first ground up EV in India. Its price is expected to be around Rs 50 lakh, which will keep it in line with other entry-level luxury EVs like BMW IX1 and Byd Sealion 7.

According to data from Industry Body Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers i.e. SIAM, a total of 10.12 lakh vehicles were sold. Among them, Maharashtra achieved the number one position with the sale of 1.19 lakh units.

Along with cars, the two-wheeler and commercial vehicle segment also saw good growth. During this period, 46.75 lakh two -wheelers were sold across the country, in which Uttar Pradesh was at the forefront with the sale of 8.18 lakh units. At the same time, selling commercial vehicles was 2.23 lakh units, in which Maharashtra topped 32,000 units and topped the sale of 32,000 units.

1.65 lakh units of three wheeler sold

Talking about the three wheeler, 1.65 lakh units were sold in this segment. In this, Uttar Pradesh won with 21,000 units. In July 2025, the number of passenger vehicles sent from companies to dealers was 3,40,772 units, which is slightly lower than last year. The wholesale sales in July 2024 were 3,41,510 units.

If the reports are correct, the new Kia SELTOS hybrid, the new Renault Duster will debut before the hybrid, while the new Creta Hybrid will reach the showroom after both these models.

Petrol and hybrid options
The Renault Duster of 2026 can initially be offered with 1.0L Natural Aspirated Petrol and 1.3L Turbo Petrol Engine Options. The Duster Hybrid sold in the global market comes with 94bhp, 1.6L petrol engine, dual motors and 1.2kwh batteries. This configuration gives maximum power of 140bhp. India-spec Duster can also get the same hybrid powertrain.

CNG and Electric Options
Renault is also considering CNG and electric Duster for the Indian market. If introduced, the CNG variant can use the third-party solutions seen in Kiger and Triber. However, the electric variant is currently in the think tank phase and it can take longer to come to the Indian roads.

Floating triple screen setup
Spy images have confirmed that Tata Sierra will have a large floating triple screen setup. A central touchscreen infotainment system, a completely digital instrument console and a passenger side display.

Safety

Like other Tata SUVs in Safety, Sierra will offer several advance safety features including Level-2 ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System), Electronic Stability Program, 360-Digry Camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Hill Hold/Decant Control and more.

4-seater lounge cabin
The lounge variant may contain a large L-shape sofa-like rear seating which can come into production. The concept model featured rear seat entertainment screen, phone charger, several connectivity options, foldable tray tables and arm rests. However, Sierra's 4-seater lounge variants have not yet been seen testing.

Different platforms for ICE and EV

Tata Sierra EV will be built on the active.EV platform which is also used in Panch EV and Curve EV, while the ICE-Purd variant will be based on Atlas Architecture.

Electric powertrain
Electric can borrow 65kwh and 75kwh battery packs from Sierra Harrier EV; However, the driving range may vary. The QWD system SUV's electric variant is expected to offer QWD or AWD Drivetrain option.

Hyderabad. In view of the increasing popularity of electric vehicles i.e. EV in Telangana's capital Hyderabad, the public charging infrastructure of the city is being rapidly expanded. To meet the increasing demand, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation i.e. GHMC and Telangana State Energy Development Corporation i.e. TGREDCOs are working together. Its direct benefit will be given to thousands of people who are using electric vehicles in the city.

71 public charging stations are already operational within the GHMC limit. Apart from this, there are 10 more new stations which have reached the final phase of starting. At the same time, TGREDCO has set up 138 public charging stations in the city and its outskirts. Due to these stations, not only EV owners are getting facilities in the city, but EV charging network is also getting stronger in the surrounding towns.

The busiest charging points

According to the information, there are some charging stations in Hyderabad where most crowds are being seen. These include Malakam Cheruvu, IIIT, KPHB Colony, near the Deloite office and BHEL MIG area. There is a huge demand for EV charging points here and people are constantly demanding to increase more charging points.

How to track close charging station
EV users can easily detect available charging stations around them. Two major options are available for this. First, TGEV Mobile App which has been prepared by Telangana Energy Development Corporation. This app provides users information, information and other necessary details of close charging stations in real-time. The second option is the official website of GHMC. Citizens can go here and see the location of public charging stations present in the city and their status.

This detail will not only facilitate EV owners, but is also considered a big step towards making Hyderabad an environment-friendly and durable city. In the coming time, the number of these charging stations will be increased further so that electric vehicles can get more incentives.

The MQ4i will be based on Soranto, which is available globally with a 1.6L turbo petrol hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain. For India, carmaker Hyundai NI1I is likely to use a 1.5L petrol-hybrid powertrain.

7 seater of Honda
Located above the Honda 7-seater SUV elevate, the upcoming Honda 7-seater SUV will launch the all-new PF2 platform of the brand. According to reports, it can be introduced with a 1.5L natural aspirated petrol engine and a strong hybrid powertrain. The hybrid setup can be taken from the city sedan. The new Honda 7-seater SUV will be designed and developed with inputs from R&D centers in Honda, Japan and Thailand.

Reno Borel
Reno Borel has recently made his global debut and its launch in India is expected in the end of 2026 or in the first half of 2027. It is originally a three-day variant of the third generation Duster SUV. Both models will share platforms, powertrains, features and design elements. At the global level, the boral will be provided with 108bhp petrol engine, 51bhp electric motor, 1.4kwh battery pack and a starter generator. This setup offers about 155bhp joint power.

This new Maruti SUV will be sold especially through the Arena dealership network and will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kiya Celtose and other models.

Competition and positioning
The official name and details of Maruti SUV will be revealed at the time of launch. However, it is still known as Maruti Escudo. In the company's product portfolio, the new Arena will find the gap between SUV Brezza and Grand Vitara. This means that it will be available with 103 bhp, 1.5 L mild hybrid, 116 bhp, 1.5 L Atkinson Cycle Strong Hybrid and 88 Bhp, 1.5 L CNG engine options. If media reports are to be believed, the new Maruti SUV (Maruti Escudo) will be the company's first CNG vehicle with an underbody CNG tank.

Price (potential)
However, official prices will be announced in a few days, the new Maruti Arena SUV is expected to be priced at about Rs 10-10.50 lakh for entry-level variants and up to Rs 18-19 lakh for top-end hybrid variants.

This luxury SUV now comes with exterior and interior updates with new M Sport Pro package. 2025 BMW X5 is introduced as CKD product in India, which is assembled in the company's Chennai plant.

2025 BMW X5: Design
The overall design of BMW X5 is the same as before, only with a few small changes that give it a fresh look. For example, the Signature Kidney Grill has been enlarged and it has been paired with adaptive matrix LED headlamps including L-shape's LED DRLs. The Bavarian car manufacturer has also added new 21-inch alloy wheels to give X5 a separate presence.

M sport pro package

With the new M Sport Pro package, X5 now gets high gloss black elements around grill, air breeders and telpipe trims. BMW is offering 6 metallic paint options with the new X5, including Brooklyn Gray, Carbon Black, Mineral White, Skyscraper Gray, Tanzanite Blue and Black Saifier. The sporty appeal is also spread to the cabin which includes BMW individual piano black trim dashboard and signature M seat belts.

The German manufacturer is introducing 2025 X5 with petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine includes a 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 376 bhp and 520 Nm peak torque. This helps the Powartrain X5 to reach at just 5.4 seconds at a speed of 0-100 km/h. On the other hand, the diesel engine is a 3-liter 6-cylinder in-line turbo diesel that generates 282 bhp and 650 Nm peak torque. This version enables SUV to reach in just 6.1 seconds at a speed of 0-100 km/h.

New Delhi. Vietnam's electric car manufacturer Winfast has been trying to make its mark for a long time and is now ready to take its first steps in India. The Vietnamese Electric Vehicle (EV) brand will launch its first products – VF7 and VF6 – in the country on 6 September. The company showcased both battery-purd vehicles at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year.

Company's first plant in Tamil Nadu
Winfast has a assembly plant setup at Sipcot Industrial Park in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India. It is the company's third operational plant and 5th project in the global manufacturing network, and the first Winfast Plant outside Vietnam. VF7 and VF6 will be assembled in this facility. Booking for both electric SUVs started last month on a token amount of Rs 21,000. Before the official launch, let's see what these electric SUVs offer.

Winfast vf7

According to Winfast India website, VF7 will be available in two variants – technology and comfort+. While the international model uses 75.3 KWH batteries, the India-Spec variant is expected to be 70.8 KWH units, which will offer a range of 450-500 km per charge. The Drivetrain option for India is yet to be seen.

Features
The feature highlights include dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, panoramic glass roof, full-LED lighting, colored head-up display, connected car tech and level 2 ADAS. The cabin will have a dual-tone layout with vegan leather upholstery. Its initial price is expected to be Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

Winfast vf6
The VF6 is a compact electric SUV designed for urban mobility, which is 4,238 mm in length and is available in two trims – Eco and plus. Both use front-wheel-drive setup, with Eco 172 bhp and plus 198 bhp generates. The SUV gets power from 59.6 kwh battery, which offers a range of 381-399 km based on variants.
