Maruti Suzuki has launched a new Star Edition to make its popular commercial van Maruti Eeco more attractive. This edition targets private buyers and offers a more premium look and feel than the standard model. The price of Star Edition has been kept at only ₹ 19,999 (Extra).
The Eco Star Edition includes 18 accessories like body colored bumpers, rear spoiler, fog lamps, interior styling kit, seat covers, stylish wheel covers, chrome emblems, door visors and mud flaps. Two attractive colors are available – Metallic Brisk Blue and Metallic Glistening Grey. These accessories can be fitted mostly at dealer level. Design and interior
To differentiate the Star Edition from the standard Eco, body colored front and rear bumpers have been given, which give it a more modern and premium look. Rear spoiler adds to the sporty appeal. The rest of the design remains the classic boxy and practical style of Eeco, which is known for loading and passenger comfort.
Styling kit and seat covers have been provided in the interior, which give a slightly upgraded feel to the cabin. The interior of Eeco is spacious and practical. Manual sliding doors ensure easy entry-exit. 5 or 6/7 seater options are available in it.
Features and safety
The Star Edition of Maruti Eeco mainly focuses on the accessories bundle. Standard features include heater, tachometer, rear parking sensors etc. AC is also available in some variants.
It has features like standard 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and seat belt reminder. The ladder frame chassis and RWD setup provide strength. However, it has got 0 star rating in Global NCAP.
Engine and Mileage
All its variants have a 1.2 liter K12N petrol engine, which produces 79.65 bhp power and 105 Nm torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Talking about mileage, it is capable of giving fuel efficiency of up to 19.71 kmpl in petrol and 26.78 km/kg in CNG.
