Vinfast VF 6 and VF 7 received 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. The company sells them with 7 airbags (including driver, passenger, side, curtain and driver knee airbag) and all the safety features.

Vinfast VF 6 and VF 7 have achieved 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. According to the official results released today i.e. 21 January 2026, both the electric SUVs have received a full 5-star rating in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) categories under the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). During the crash test, both the vehicles have shown better performance in frontal impact, side impact and pole side impact test. Both got full marks in the side impact test. Scores were 16/16 for adults and 8/8 for children. Also scored full marks in head, neck and upper leg protection in frontal crash. Although the VF 6 received weak protection for the driver's chest in a frontal collision, overall it reached the 5-star level.

Safety Features

Both these models are built on EV-dedicated platform and are being assembled in Tamil Nadu. There are 7 airbags as standard (including driver, passenger, side, curtain and driver knee airbag). Also, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control etc. are available in many variants.

ISOFIX child seat anchorages and strong body structure scored high for child protection. The VF 6 and VF 7 do not have integrated child restraint systems, but got full marks in the CRS installation test. Overall, both the VF 6 (mid-size) and VF 7 (compact) SUVs proved that electric vehicles can be not only eco-friendly but also extremely safe.

New Delhi. Skoda Auto has expanded its Kylaq subcompact SUV lineup with three new trims – Classic+, Signature+ and Prestige+, which are available in both manual and automatic transmission options. The price of 2026 Skoda Kylaq Classic+ has been kept at Rs 8.25 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 9.25 lakh for the automatic variant. The Signature+ manual trim is priced at Rs 10.77 lakh, while the Signature+ automatic variant is priced at Rs 11.77 lakh. The top-end Prestige+ is available at Rs 11.99 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 12.99 lakh for the automatic version. All these prices are ex-showroom.

Battery, Motor and Range

Abella comes with two battery options – 49 kWh (LFP) and 61 kWh. The smaller 49 kWh (LFP) variant produces 144 PS power and 189 Nm torque, which is capable of giving 440 km range. At the same time, the 61 kWh battery pack produces 174 PS power and 189 Nm torque. Its claimed range is 543 km (ARAI).

Creta Electric has a 42 kWh (NMC) battery, which produces 135 PS and 255 Nm torque. Its range is approximately 390-420 km. The larger 51.4 kWh pack produces 171 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque and the range is between 473-510 km. Like the Urban Cruiser Ebella, it also comes with front-wheel drive.

Mahindra Thar Rocks is a five-door version of the three-door Thar to be launched in 2024. It provides more space and comfort for family use with off-road capability. Now the company has prepared a new update to make this popular SUV more attractive.

The dark theme and blacked-out elements seen in the teaser clearly indicate that this could be a special edition. Especially the chances of getting a dark edition or black edition are high. According to the teaser, the new version will come with completely blacked out treatment. 2026 Kia Seltos can be purchased in the Indian car market at a starting ex-showroom price of only ₹ 10,99,000. After the recent update, the design of this SUV has changed a lot and new features have also been added. The company sells it with premium features like dual-pane panoramic sunroof, level-2 ADAS, dual 10.25-inch and 12.3-inch panoramic displays, Bose 8-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, 64-color ambient lighting and wireless charging.

Engine options available are 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (113 bhp, 144 Nm), 1.5L turbo petrol (158 bhp, 253 Nm) and 1.5L diesel (114 bhp, 250 Nm). Talking about mileage (ARAI), it is capable of giving fuel efficiency of 17-17.9 kmpl in petrol and 19.1-20.7 kmpl in diesel.

Kia Cars

Kia Carens is at number two in the list. It got a total of 3,681 new customers last month. This figure represents an impressive growth of 40 percent year-on-year compared to the total 2,626 units sold in December 2024.

Kia Syros

Kia Sciros is at third place in terms of sales. It has got 1,116 new customers last month. This figure represents almost double the monthly increase compared to the total 554 units sold in November 2025.

Kia Sonet

There has been a huge increase in the sales of Sonet. Last month, this small SUV got a total of 9,418 customers. This figure represents a spectacular increase of 182 percent year-on-year compared to the total 3,337 units sold in December 2024.

Kia Carnival

The next number is Kia Carnival, it got the least number of customers. Only 75 units were sold in December 2025. This figure represents a 27 percent year-on-year decline compared to the total 103 Carnivals sold in December 2024. Apart from this, Kia EV6 and EV9 did not find a single customer last month.
