New Delhi. Vinfast Auto India has announced to open its largest showroom in India in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This outlet is promoted by Maansarovar Motors, which is a big name in the city's automotive retail sector. Located in the poses area of Teynampet, this 4,700 square -foot showroom is the largest service center of Vinfast, which is one of the 35 showrooms opening this year. Here Vinfast's premium electric SUVs, VF 6 and VF 7 will be showcased, whose booking has started.

35 dealerships target in 27 cities
The company aims to launch 35 dealerships in more than 27 cities by the end of the year. Vinfast started pre-booking officially for its premium electric SUVs, VF 6 and VF 7 on July 15, 2025. Customers can book their favorite Vinfast Premium Electric SUV in showrooms or on official website vinfastauto.in with a fully refundable booking amount of Rs 21,000.

$ 500 million factory

A $ 500 million plant located in the Industrial Corridor, Tamil Nadu, will initially produce 50,000 electric cars every year, with a capacity of 150,000 units. According to Vinfast, this site was selected after valuation of 15 real estate, which were spread in 6 Indian states. Keeping in mind the strong infrastructure of Tamil Nadu, the best labor and its access to the port, the company decided to set the factory set-up here.

They will compete with
The upcoming Vinfast electric vehicles will compete with BYD, Mahindra, Tata Motors and even Tesla models in India. As part of its market entry into India, Vinfast has a strategic partnership with Roadgrid, Mytvs and Global Assures to establish a national network for charging and after-cell services. Vinfast has also partnered with Indian clean-tech company BATX Energies to promote battery recycling and develop a circular battery price chain.

The total design and interior of Maruti Fronx Hybrid will be similar to its Ice model. However, there may be some changes inside the 'hybrid' badging and cabin on the exterior. Strong hybrid powertrain will be specially introduced on higher trims, and its price is expected to be around Rs 2 lakh-2.5 lakhs from the petrol-speed Froncs.

Mahindra XUV 3xo Hybrid
The domestic automaker has been working on hybrid technology, which includes strong hybrids and range extenders to expand its product portfolio. The Mahindra XUV 3xo compact SUV may be the first hybrid model of the brand, which is expected to come in 2026. If media reports are believed, Mahindra can use his 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with hybrid technology.
