Renault Duster may once again make a comeback in the Indian market very soon. The company introduced the right hand drive model of Duster during an event in South Africa. However, it is not yet clear whether this vehicle will be launched in the Indian market or not, but it is certain that the new Duster will be launched first in South Africa in March 2025.

Renault Duster was first launched in the Indian market in 2012. At that time this SUV had gained immense popularity among the customers. But gradually its sales started declining due to not meeting the new emission norms and increasing competition. Eventually, Renault will stop production of Duster in India in 2022. Let us know what features and changes can be seen in this new Duster.

Will get new engine
Three engine options can be seen to power the new Duster. This includes 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid engine and 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid engine. Apart from this, manual and automatic transmission options may also be available in it.

With this new model of Renault, the company wants to strengthen its hold not only in South Africa but also in other markets including India. Now it remains to be seen how much Indian customers like this new Duster.

how will the design be
Renault's upcoming new generation Duster shows glimpses of the Dacia Duster. The design language of the new Duster is inspired by the Dacia Duster and its proportions are also similar to the global variant. However, it has a 'Renault' badge on the front grille instead of 'Dacia', but there is no change in the rest of the styling like headlamps, cladding, side silhouette and tail lamps.

Features like global model in right-hand version
The right-hand drive (RHD) version of the new generation Duster, which has been introduced, is equipped with the interior layout and technology of the global model. The layout, features and technology of the cabin are almost the same as the global model. The only difference is that the position of the steering wheel is on the right side.

The new Duster will see major changes compared to the models sold earlier in India. However, the quality and color choices of the interior do not seem much different from the older models. The company says that this SUV will be officially revealed in India next year.

New Alto will have “fat loss”, the new model will be 100 kg lighter, will get a mileage of 30 km/litre!

New Delhi. Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki Motor Corporation is trying to reduce the weight of some of its cars to increase the mileage. According to the company, in the next 10 years the car manufacturer can reduce the weight of its affordable car Alto by up to 100 kg.

The weight of the current generation Alto K10 is 680 kg. After reducing the weight by 100 kg, its curb weight will be around 578 kg, which will make the car more mileage efficient.

Upcoming cars will be more fuel efficient
After reducing the weight, this car will come at par with its original model launched in 1970. The aim of this move by Maruti is to bring smaller and more efficient engines in budget cars. Recently Maruti introduced the Z series engine in the new generation Swift which is more efficient than before.

New Alto will get mileage of 30Kmpl
The company is planning to use this engine in future models like WagonR, Baleno, Franck and Dezire. The company is also preparing biofuel and biogas versions of this engine. Maruti says that this engine is also 40% more thermal efficient. Maruti can launch a new Alto based on a new engine in 2027. It is being claimed in some reports that this engine will be capable of giving a mileage of 30 kilometers in petrol.

Alto number-1 for 16 years
Maruti Alto was the company's best selling car in the Indian market for 16 years. Cars like Alto and WagonR have helped Maruti to establish a foothold in the Indian car market. Now as car manufacturers are moving towards clean energy, the company is also making changes in the engines of its vehicles.

The first electric car will be launched in 2025
Suzuki will launch its first electric car in India next year i.e. early 2025. The company also plans to introduce more efficient hybrid technology. Suzuki believes that the 2KW motor found in its current hybrid cars will become outdated in the future. In such a situation, the company will need a motor with 10KW output which will generate 30% power in the car.

Hyundai unveiled Ioniq 9 SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show, range is 540 Km, know the features

Hyundai unveiled Ioniq 9 SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show, range is 540 Km, know the features

New Delhi. Hyundai has unveiled its unique and attractively designed electric SUV Ioniq 9 at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2024. This electric SUV will be launched in 2026 and will be available in 3-row seating configuration. Whose design is in retro-futuristic style. Its flat planes and blunt curves distinguish it from other vehicles.

Hyundai's Ioniq series is known for its attractive and different design. Although there is little similarity between the Ioniq 5 SUV and the Ioniq 6 sedan, the Ioniq 9 does share some design themes from the Ioniq 5.

Better Aerodynamics
The front end of this SUV with blunt curves and flat and angled lines on the fenders give it a unique look. Presented in gray color, the design of Ioniq 9 looks like an SUV from science-fiction films. Its pixelated lighting elements add to the identity of the Ioniq lineup.

The coefficient of drag (Cd) of the Ioniq 9 is only 0.269, making it extremely aerodynamic. This feature is usually seen in sports cars. Its active underbody flaps further improve its aerodynamic efficiency.

It is modern and spacious from inside.
EVs generally do not have a transmission hump, so Hyundai has adopted a completely flat floor design. This makes the cabin feel more spacious and comfortable. A 12-inch instrument cluster and 12-inch central touchscreen have been provided for the driver, which together gives the experience of a 24-inch curved screen. Additionally, it includes smart features like an AI-powered voice assistant. However, the swiveling seats in the second row will not be available in the US. But other interior features of the car make it special.

Performance and battery range
The Ioniq 9 is based on the same platform as the Kia EV9. It has a battery pack of 110.3 kWh. Three performance options are available. Its base model is equipped with a rear-wheel drive system that delivers a power of 215 HP, while the all-wheel drive system is capable of generating a maximum power of 303 HP. Whereas, the Performance trim can generate power of 442 HP.

The country's largest carmaker sold 1,59,591 units domestically this month, which is 5% less than the 1,68,407 units sold last year in October 2023. However, a 10% increase in sales was recorded as compared to September 2024, which was mainly possible due to the festive season.

However, sales of some models of Maruti remain stable. The reason for this is not only the launch of new models, but also the company has not updated these cars for a long time, due to which customers are getting disillusioned with them. Let us know about some of the best and least selling cars of Maruti.

These 3 models become a headache
Talking about the company's least selling cars, the least selling car in this list is the company's premium sedan Ciaz, which sold only 659 units in October 2024. Sales of Maruti's premium MPV Invicto declined by 38% and only 296 units of this model were sold.

This 7-seater hangs over people
On one hand, the performance of some of Maruti's older models has been stable, while on the other hand, the company's affordable 7-seater Ertiga has performed better in the last few months. This car became India's best selling car with sales of 18,785 units. Compared to last year, an increase of 32% was seen in the sales of this model.

Here are the top 5 cars
Apart from Ertiga, Swift was at second place in the list of top-5 cars of Maruti with sales of 17,539 units. Brezza, Franxx and Baleno occupied the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively, with their sales also exceeding 16,000 units.

Big decision of Maruti! This car with 5-star rating will not run in taxis, know why the company took this step

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki vehicles are known for their low price and excellent mileage. This is the reason why these cars are also very popular among taxi operators. Especially, Maruti Dezire was bought extensively as a taxi in the compact sedan segment. But, its effect was that the customers who wanted to take it for their personal use started staying away from it. In view of this, Maruti Suzuki has taken a big decision. The company has announced that the upcoming 5-star rated new Dezire will not be sold as a taxi.

The Tour S variant of Dzire is very popular among taxi operators. This variant is specifically designed for commercial use, with priority given to features that make it suitable for use as a taxi.

Will the Tour S variant be updated?
With the launch of the new Dezire, the question is arising whether the Dezire Tour S will also be updated or not. At present, this does not seem to be happening. It may take some time for the Desire Tour S to be upgraded to the fourth generation model. Till then this variant will remain available in the market along with its current third generation model.

The Tour S variant contributes significantly to the total sales of Dezire. According to the data, more than 1.65 lakh units of Dezire were sold in the financial year 2023-24, of which about 40% was of the Tour S variant.

Better safety features in new Dezire
The new Maruti Dezire has already been tested in the Global NCAP crash test, in which the car performed brilliantly. It has received 5-star rating for adult protection and 4-star rating for child protection.
– Adult Protection Score: 31.24 points out of 34
– Child Protection Score: 39.20 points out of 42

This is the first car from Maruti to achieve 5-star safety rating.

Big change in design
The design of the new Dezire is completely different from the old model. It has a large front grille, rectangular LED headlights, and redesigned fog lamps. Y-shaped LED taillights and chrome strip at the rear make its look even better. The top variant has 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and LED lights with DRLs. Its wheelbase is 2,450 mm and ground clearance is 163 mm, making it suitable for Indian roads.

Engine and powertrain
The new Dezire has a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine. This engine generates power of 82hp and torque of 112Nm. 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options are available in the vehicle.

This step of Maruti has been taken keeping in mind those customers who want to buy it for their personal use. The new Dezire has now become an even better option as a family sedan.

Bumper sales of 10 models of Maruti, but this sedan became a pain in the neck, the company could not sell even 700 units in a month.

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki has maintained its dominance in the Indian automobile market for decades. However, the month of October 2024 did not fully live up to the expectations for the country's largest car manufacturer. This month, the company sold 1,59,591 vehicles in the domestic market, which is 5% less than 1,68,407 units in October 2023 last year. Nevertheless, the company achieved a 10% growth in October sales compared to September 2024, which was possible due to the festive season.

Some of Maruti's cars performed well, while the company suffered losses due to low sales of some cars. Let us know how the sales of Maruti cars were in October 2024.

Ertiga became the best selling car
Ertiga's sales performance in October 2024 was excellent. This car became India's best selling car with sales of 18,785 units. Compared to last year, the sales of this model increased by 32%.

Maruti Swift was at second place with sales of 17,539 units. However, in the same month last year this figure was 20,598 units, which means Swift faced a decline of 15%.

Brezza, Frankos and Baleno occupied the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. Their sales also exceeded 16,000 units. At the same time, Grand Vitara registered an impressive 30% annual growth with sales of 14,083 units. Dezire, Wagon R and Eeco also managed to sell more than 10,000 units.

Performance of small cars remained lackluster
Talking about small cars, Maruti Alto, which was once considered the face of entry-level hatchbacks, sold only 8,548 units in October 2024. This figure is 24% less than last year. Models like Jimny and XL6 also suffered a setback. Jimny sales declined by 35% and XL6 declined by 25%. These sold 1,211 and 3,285 units respectively.

Some models took charge
While sales of some cars declined, the Ignis achieved a growth of 12%. 2,663 units of this model were sold, which is more than last year. Due to decline in sales of Celerio and S-Presso, their combined sales came down to around 5,000 units. The Ciaz sedan, which has been in need of an upgrade for a long time, recorded sales of only 659 units. In the MPV segment, Invicto sales declined by 38% and only 296 units of this model were sold.

Sales decreased despite festive season
Even in a big festive season like Diwali, Maruti Suzuki did not get the performance that was expected. However, strong sales of models like Ertiga, Brezza, Franxx and Grand Vitara kept the situation afloat. Maruti Suzuki will have to bring new changes in its small cars and sedan segments so that it can better meet the market demand in the coming months.
