The best selling car in April 2026 was Maruti Suzuki Dezire. It recorded sales of 23,580 units, which is about 39% more than 16,964 units in April 2025. The popularity of Dezire is continuously increasing due to its spacious cabin, comfortable ride and excellent mileage. The premium features and smart infotainment system provided in the new generation attracted a lot of young buyers. It still remains the king in the sedan segment.

Prices for the Dezire start at ₹6.26 lakh and go up to ₹9.31 lakh (ex-showroom). Its 1.2L Z-series petrol (80 PS) engine is also available in CNG option. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga took the third position with sales of 19,063 units. Its sales in April 2025 were around 15,755 units, which shows an increase of 21% this year. Ertiga's dominance as a family MPV continues. The spacious interior, comfortable third row and reliable engine made it the first choice for large families.

4. Maruti Suzuki Fronx (18,829 units, +31%)

Maruti Suzuki Front sold 18,829 units in April 2026, which is 31% more than 14,373 units in April last year. This crossover vehicle between premium hatchback and compact SUV is becoming quite popular among youth and families due to its stylish design, turbo engine option and feature loaded interior.

5. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R (18,648 units, +39%)

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R made it to the top-5 with sales of 18,648 units. Its sales in April 2025 were around 13,416 units, which shows an increase of 39% this year.
