1. Road Tax / RTO Fees

It is legally mandatory to have insurance to drive on the road in India. Third party insurance has been made mandatory. 4. Fastag & Green Cess

Fastag is mandatory for every new vehicle to pass through the toll plaza on the National Highway, for which around Rs 400 to 600 is charged. In many states, in the name of controlling environmental pollution, additional green cess is imposed especially on diesel vehicles.

Dealer's hidden charges

There are some expenses which are not necessary, but the dealers include them in the on-road price list. It is very important for customers to know:

  • Logistics or Handling Charges: Cost of bringing the vehicle from the yard to the showroom. The Supreme Court has declared it illegal, so you can demand its removal.
  • Accessories Kit: Dealers add things like car mat, seat cover, chrome garnish in advance. If you wish, you can refuse to take them.
  • Extended Warranty: Apart from the company's standard warranty, you can also get additional years of warranty removed, which is optional.

परीक्षण के परिणाम महत्वपूर्ण हैं क्योंकि भारत E20 से परे उच्च इथेनॉल मिश्रण की खोज कर रहा है। जबकि E85 ईंधन हाल ही में पेश किया गया है, इसका उपयोग वर्तमान में फ्लेक्स-फ्यूल वाहनों तक ही सीमित है। बल्लानी ने कहा कि रूपांतरण किट लाखों मौजूदा पेट्रोल वाहन मालिकों को अपने वाहनों को बदले बिना उच्च इथेनॉल मिश्रण तक पहुंचने का मार्ग प्रदान कर सकती है।

हालाँकि, बल्लानी ने स्वीकार किया कि यह तकनीक अभी भारत में व्यावसायिक उपयोग के लिए तैयार नहीं है। जबकि आयातित किटों का प्रारंभिक मूल्यांकन किया गया है, स्थानीय रूप से निर्मित किटों को बेचने और उपयोग करने से पहले नियामकों, ऑटोमोटिव परीक्षण एजेंसियों और वाहन निर्माताओं द्वारा परीक्षण और अनुमोदन से गुजरना होगा। इस संबंध में, ISMA ने संबंधित अधिकारियों को पत्र लिखकर भारत में ऐसी किटों के अनुमोदन, परीक्षण और स्थानीयकरण के लिए एक रूपरेखा की मांग की है।
